British Made Black Powder Coated Garage Defender Master - Best Garage Security

I am extremely pleased with this purchase. For a critical security component, the price offers excellent value. They were surprisingly easy to install using standard tools, and the fit and finish are perfect. The black powder coating not only looks professional but also feels like it will last for years without chipping. They operate with a satisfying slide and lock the door securely from both the top and bottom. A high-quality, fuss-free security solution that I highly recommend to any homeowner.

Highly recommended - excellent Defender Lock. Very sturdy - very easy to install - everything you need in the box - quick delivery *only downside, no mention anywhere what size drill is needed for the fixing bolts until you read the instruction inside the box ... Size 13 for the bolt hole in the ground. If you're shopping around for the best product for your money as I did - don't be fooled by the cheaper ones ... they don't tend to come with the fixing bolts, but they can be bought separately - this came as the whole package and definitely worth the money. Very easy install - 3 x holes in the base plate for 2 x bolts giving the best option for your garage floor - ours had a slight incline/water barrier which didn't have any impact on fixing. Great deterrent for any/all burglers :)

This item is really good, we did however have to return the first one as bolts were missing and ordered a replacement, but now with all the bolts it's a great visual deterent.

RECOMMENDED FITTING INSTRUCTIONS GARAGE DEFENDER FOR UP AND OVER GARAGE DOORS PLEASE NOTE: THE UNIT MUST BE RAWLBOLTED INTO GOOD SOLID CONCRETE. LUBRICATE LOCKING MECHANISM & SLIDE BOLT AT REGULAR INTERVALS 1. Important Note: Position unit front of garage door ensuring the door swings clear of the padlock lug before permanently fixing in position as in diagram A. 2. Using the base plate as a template drill through the two holes with a 10mm dia concrete drill 10mm deep. 3. Remove the base plate, then re-drill the two holes with a 16mm dia concrete drill 90mm deep. 4. Clear dust from prepared holes in concrete. 5. Drop both security bolts into the base plate and screw on both shields until they just touch the underside of the base plate. 6. Tap base plate down into the prepared holes until the base plate sits flush on the concrete base. 7. Tighten the two security bolts evenly to a torque of 25-30lbs. 8. Please note the external security fixing bolt may require a concrete pad if you have tarmac outside the garage door. Please note: Only two security fixing points are required-should base plate NOT fit under garage door, follow option 1 or 2 as below. 1. Rebate base plate 5mm into concrete floor. 2. Cut off back section of base plate.

This is everything you need in a garage door barrier. All the parts including the padlock and keys are in the box, it’s well packaged and all the components are heavy duty. The instructions are nice and clear too. They say to check the clearance of the door with the padlock lug before bolting down, but it’s also worth checking that the door covers the inner bolt head (even partially) for extra security; so take a bit of time to find the sweet spot before drilling the holes. Pilot hole is 10mm and ragbolt is 16mm.

Good quality heavy-ish item with a solid lock and two keys, and it comes with the fixings required. It is also a good visual deterrent.

It was easy to fit, although you will need a 16mm drill bit, which I had. The lock works fine and does give you a sense of extra protection. As the lock is exposed to all weathers it’s worth lubricating it now and then to keep it operating smoothly.

Did not last 6 months. Unable to open it so now need to wait to get a new one before I can get my stuff out

Uno dei pochi modelli semplice da installare, completo ed efficace. Oltre alla deterrenza viene ancorato efficacemente con i bulloni ad espansione in dotazione (foro da 16 mm). Il lucchetto a campana non è dotato di chiave normale ma copre il la testa del secondo bullone e dunque funge anche da ulteriore sicurezza

Très robuste . Attention en enfonçant la cheville de ne pas mettre la vis avec. D'abord la cheville ensuite la vis. Pour une troisième cheville + écrou , j'en ai trouvé à Bricostore. La mettre au fond Ouverture et fermeture faciles
