Works great

This is my second purchase of a scraping mixer blade, but the first of this brand. My other was a cheaper, knock-off version that did the job, but I do notice a huge quality difference in this one. This feels so much sturdier. It works perfectly for my K4SS bowl lift model. It scrapes the sides perfectly and is SUCH a help when mixing any kinds of batters or frostings. Love it!!

Fit well and works great

First of all, I love to bake. The Metro Beater Blade did not meet my expectations. I was extremely disappointed 😞. I thought this blade would help scrap all sides of my Kitchen Aid mixing bowl, but unfortunately that is not what happened. I was making my banana bread that I have made many times with my regular Kitchen Aid paddle that does not have silicone edges. I thought buying one with the silicone edges on the paddle would help scrape the sides of the bowl. Boy was I disappointed. I started adding flour to my butter, sugar, and egg mixture on low speed. Every time I added a 1/4 of a cup of flour, the silicone edges of the paddle would throw the flour out of the bowl. I had more flour on me than I think the bowl contain. I had to quickly change back to my original mixing paddle before all my flour Landed all over my counter and on myself. Once I placed back on my original paddle, my flour stayed in the bowl and not on me and the counter. I would NEVER PURCHASE THIS ITEM AGAIN!

We bought this beater to go with our new 5qt lift handle mixer. The mixer is amazing in that it scrapes the bowl as it mixes. It does not have the same quality of the original beater, but we have had no issues whatsover. The combination of plastic and silicone allows for the beater to be washed in the dishwasher, which allows for easier cleanup compared to some of the stock beaters. The shape is not perfect. When it spins around the bowl it pushes harder at some points which can cause a little bit of bowl flexing. We have not had any issues with the mixer holding up, so hopefully it lasts as long as our mixer. The price is quite a bit lower then the kitchenaid version and scrapes on both sides instead of one.

I am trying to write a review for the KA-6LR but it is linking to the KA-5LR. I actually have both the 5LR and the 6LR. I have both a Professional 5-qt Lift-Bowl Itchen-Aid mixer that is over 20 years old, and a refurbished 7-qt Professional Lift Bowl Kitchen-Aid mixer. I have used the KA-5LR for several years now and have about three on hand at any time to be able to switch beween different cake batters without having to wash the paddle in between. Same for the American Buttercream Frosting I make which can be made from soft to stiff depending on my cake design needs. I was thrilled to find that there is now a KA-6LR for the standard 7-quart Lift Bowl mixer as one has not been on AMAZON before. I purchaed one and I will be purchasing a couple of more for the same reasons I have listed for the 5LR. I absolutely LOVE the 6LR rubber sided paddle. It fits the 7-qt bowl snuggly which I thought would be a problem, but it did absolutely fantastic on my double batch (4-lbs confectioner sugar) frosting at stiff consistency. I do not need to scrape the bowl anymore, but I do have to scrape the beater halfway through the mixing cycle because dry flour, mix or sugar can sometimes get caked on the sides of the rubber. But no big deal. So easy to use. Both the 5LR and the 6LR are heavier than the past models - much improved. I have only had one problem with an early model 5LR where the rubber pulled away from the plastic paddle, but none of those problems since my first one. I have only broken one 5LR when I didn't have it on the mixer completely and was mixing dough. It broke when it came off when the dough was too stiff . Totally my mistake.

First time writing a review… I love this blade! It made me fall in love with my KitchenAid mixer all over again. I have the 7 quart mixer and for 2 years now, I have literally been lifting the bowl up with my hands so that the paddle will reach the bottom of the bowl! Very dangerous! I was all set to toss it and give up on the KitchenAid brand, but I decided to give this blade a try. It is incredible. I just made my cream cheese frosting. It blended my softened butter and cold, unsoftened cream cheese completely smooth. The edges of the blade scraped every side of my bowl. When I put the powdered sugar in one cup at a time, it immediately blended it in a quarter of the time it used to. The unexpected surprise was that the sugar didn’t come out of the bowl at all. It was directed down into the bottom and blended better than ever. I’m going to make cookies tomorrow for my students, and I can’t wait to see how it performs!

This this is the second mixer paddle KA – 5L that I have purchased. When they’re new, they work great, the rubber scraper on the edge is really wonderful when you’re making icing. However, they are made of plastic. The first one broke within the first year, the second one lasted just over five years. I am now going to invest in an aluminum paddle with rubber blades instead of another plastic one. Please note this paddle is for the non-tip KitchenAid mixer. It is for the stand mixer.

It does what it says on the packet! it scraped down the sides and bottom beautifully with very minimal scraping by me. It mixed really well.

So happy with this blade. (Picture 2 shows it beside the regular blade for comparison). Fits my 5qt kitchenaid artisan mixer. It is made of plastic but seems like a harder material and not cheaply made. Have used a couple times already and it mixes very well. I still scrape the bowl and blade but only once maybe twice to make sure all the batter and fry ingredients got mixed well. The rubber seems to be holding up well; even if it starts to break I’ll order from here again. Well worth it!!

Der Rührer ist nicht aus Metall, was mich etwas überrascht hat. Somit kommen nur sehr leichte Teige für ihn in Frage. Die roten Gummiränder nehmen aber alles gut vom Rand der Schüssel mit. Das ist eine echte Verbesserung zu dem anderen Rührer aus Metall. Ich würde es gut finden, wenn es den Rührer aus Metall mit den Gummirändern geben würde. Aber insgesamt würde ich das Teil empfehlen.

La pieza es de buena calidad y ligera para la máquina batidora. Cubre muy bien las orillas de la vasija mezcladora y es resistente. Recomiendo este producto.
