4 x Activated Carbon Filters for Water Distillers by Water Pure (UK Made Organic Carbon)

In our 15 years of distilling our tap water for drinking and cooking these carbon filters are the best we have ever tried we keep them in way longer than recommended (I think) as they just keep delivering perfect polished pure water and seem to keep ok for extended use. For e.g. we bought a pack of 4 in 2023 and we use two sachets at a time in our distillers output nozel and so far each pair has lasted at least a year and thats running the distiller one cycle daily for 4 litres of the best pure water. 365 x 4L = 1460 Litres of polished pure water a year! AMAZING!! We just replaced our distiller as it was time the stainless steel types only seem to last 5 years or so and the carbon filters it came with frankly are crap so we put the year old ones in it out of our old distiller and yes amazing back to perfect pure water so we buying a pack of new carbon filters to compliment our new distiller and can highly recommend these most excellent carbon filters.

These are the best carbon filters I’ve purchased online so far. Unfortunately. I’ve purchased carbon fibres from other companies via Amazon and received a bag which appears to be full of coal or charcoal. I have a TDS meter (which calculates the parts per million of undiluted solids in a litre of water) and and found these filters to give a perfect 0-5 ppm rating, whereas the cheaper ‘coaly’ bags have infected my distilled water with upwards of 1000ppm! These are the proper filters, and I recommend them for water distillers.

These are great. Thicker than the ones I had before with more carbon stuff in it, so it lasts a bit longer, if you are like me and forget to change it on time. To get good use out of it, you must however adhere to the instructions and rinse them thoroughly before use. To do this, I put mine in a glass of water, then move and squeeze the filter around in it with a teaspoon, to get the particles out. I then discard the water, refill the glass, and repeat the process about 5 more times, holding the glass against the light, which lets me see if there are still particles left in it, or not. Do that and you get totally pure water back.

I use this product for my water distiller. It's excellent, and I highly recommend it.

These are expensive for what they are. They disintegrate into the distilled water. Leaving black specs in the water. I’m highly disappointed in this product but I’m having issues with the distiller that I bought from the same company. I wish I bought from another retailer. I do not recommend this product at all.

That is all I have to say except that these leave the glass jugs filmy necessitating more frequent washing. They are effective I assume but am not convinced on quality.
