I also have the smaller 10cm lamp. Actually, both sizes of these lamps are better than the other. For small hands, the 10cm globe is ideal. Small hands can hold it and see its detail close up better than most adults. Also, if they drop it, it's not going to shatter or break. Conversely, the same caveats apply to adults with the 18cm globe. All that said, this lamp is probably the closest most of us will ever get to the Moon. Its probably the best 3D printed facsimile of our planetary companion. If it's illuminated for 6 to 8 hours on any one evening it will need recharging every 2-3 days.Best guide: On for 6-8 hours each day over 2 days, charge on day 3. Same seems to apply whether its 10 or 18cm globes.The fact that it is battery powered gives me some concerns. I know that when the battery fails I will be able to drill out the existing battery, light source/electronics and put a replacement light source inside the globe to get the same effect. I suspect when the electronics fail - and they will (no battery life estimates included in the instructions) - other customers not as able with electrics, will be left with a rather useless, if aesthetically pleasing, ball of plastic.I would suggest to the makers that they provide a mains 110-220/240 AC version of these lamps.All in all, I love that I can hold the moon in the palm of my hand. :D

I bought this MOON LITE for my Sister because she is... like myself.. into Astronomy in a massive way!.. it's one heck of a Fantastic lite!!..my sister has the light on without fail ever night!. If you need a light to chill out by?.. this is absolutely definitely the one to buy!!.. there are 2 settings to the light.. winter n summer Moonlight.. all I can say my sister says it's the best present she as ever been bought!.. so yes.. a definite buy no joke!!.. one last thing I need to add!.. the surface of the Orb Moon 🌙 is just like that of the Moon itself!..
