Why is this gritty? Is that normal?

It’s a mineral. I think that’s why they often put thickeners like carrageenan and gums into liquid magnesium supplements to cover the grit. I prefer this without the unhealthy additives.

How do you store it after opening? Room temp? Refrigerate?

Yes store in open room. No refrigeration needed

Is this the same as magnesium citrate liquid that was used for constipation & colonoscopy prep?

Dr did not have me use but yes it was purchased for colonoscopy
