Beautiful and informative
This is a beautiful book packed with ideas and gorgeous lettering and would be a great gift for someone who is interested in calligraphic art and illuminated lettering. I spent an evening browsing through and trying to decide which project to start first but it is just a lovely book to look at as well as use. Good value for money and recommended.

LOVELY HELPFUL BOOK WITH SUPERB ILLUSTRATIONS.
A friend at my Art and Calligraphy classes bought a copy of this lovely book and I followed !t is easy to use has wonderful illustrations and will be welll used as I aim to improve at calligraphy !

a bibliophile's delight
This is not just any old book on calligraphy. The illustrations are beautiful and would capture the imagination of anyone who loves books simply for the pleasure of opening them, and devouring the contents. To the unitiated it brings a world of fascination dating back into the past. In this day and age technology has to a large extent done away with the need to be expert in beatiful handwriting, but this book shows how in days gone by it was an art form practised by the leading scholars of the time.For the discerning reader it also shows how they could if they wished take it up as an absorbing hobby. Altogether a beautiful and inspiring book.

A treasure
Comprehensive and inspirational, I’m a pyrography artist and used this book to create a letter combining various styles in photo. I love this book, beautiful illustrations and doesn’t scrimp on the gold and colour.

Delightul Decorative Calligraphy Handbook.

This book is outstanding! Special Caligraphy lettering for beginners OR experts!
All I can say is WOW! This book is beyond what I expected. High quality photos, easy to understand and gives you all the letters in the alphabet for the 3 very detailed designs. Good thing because I have no idea what the author is saying in words because she's obviously a well studied calligrapy artist! That doesn't even matter because all you have to do is look at the pictures, get out your colored pencils and create something beautiful - you can do it, I have and I love what I did. And if you're a professional Calligraphy artist - this book will be right up to par if you're interested in using powdered paint and a whole lot of over-my-head techniques/instruments/gadgets. I recommend this book highly! Also, don't expect that because the description says it's spiral bound that it's the typical "cheesy" floppin' eyesore on your shelf because it is NOT! HIGHEST QUALITY REALLY! I'm so happy I finally bought it!
