Boom Time - Fantastic Cleaner
This is my second cordless vacuum.....it’s a different brand from my first (d***n) and its Better! The build quality is first class as the handle has a rubber grip which makes it very comfortable to hold GREAT. The on off switch has an “Always On” function which makes life easy AMAZING . There are 4 indicator lights which show the battery status when in use and when charging BRILLIANT. You can change from carpet to hardfloor cleaning effortlessly just by pressing a button on the unit PERFECT. The collection chamber opens at the flick of a switch MARVELLOUS. the filters are really easy to remove for cleaning WONDERFUL. The vacuum stands upright on its own when charging REMARKABLE. The battery ran for 30 mins INCREDIBLE. There is a funky light on the head which lights the floor up COOL. The head also moves in all directions MINDBOGGLING. It comes with loads of cleaning attachments MARVELLOUS. Most importantly it does what it’s supposed to do.....It picks up all the the muck and fluff off the floor effortlessly ASTONISHING! Would I recommend this vacuum? Yes I would it’s AWESOME!!!

Good but has a major design fault you might not be able to live with...
Added: 1 year updateMy rating has progressively reduced from 5 stars to 3 stars and now to 1 star. Whilst it did initially perform well, issues with the brush bar required running repairs which should not be necessary. Now, having cleaned the dust bucket filter it refuses to spin despite turning by hand. Essentially useless. Of my 300-plus Amazon purchases over the years this one is probably in the bottom 3. And that is after a major discount on the full price. I will never buy a Hoover branded vacuum again and is sad how the once leader in this technology now produces unreliable rubbish. Buy at your peril.=======================I was a bit concerned given not all the reviews were positive. I bought an Amazon Outlet version with supposedly damaged box for a fraction of the full price. It looks like a return with no marks on the vacuum itself. Initially I thought I had made a mistake as it had feeble suction and despite showing half charged cut out after 5 seconds or so. I opened the dust collector and twisted the filter thing inside, which initially felt a little stiff but then rotated freely. No idea why I did that, other than checking everything was connected, but it worked. Closed the dust collector and switched on again; perfect. Did a quick once over of the hall and lounge, collected quite a lot of dirt that my gTech carpet sweeper and big vacuum had missed. Conclusion, pretty good performance based on the amount of dirt collected. Easy to use. Not particularly heavy. Main negative is that it doesn't seem to hold a lot of dirt before needing to be emptied. I also found that gritty bits seem to collect a little in the tube. Tip it upside down and they migrate to the dust collection bin so not really a problem. Finally far too much packaging by Amazon - a box twice the size of the Hoover box. For the £50 I paid I'm really pleased with it. Seems to compare very favourably to the Shark and the Dyson both owned by my late mother, which both cost significantly more. The major downside so far is that the motorised brush, which is clean, seems to jam up for no apparent reason, which cuts the power. Freeing it up by hand seems to solve it but it is annoying. The motorised brush uses a small belt to drive the brush. There are no instructions or videos I could find to check / change the belt. But it isn't difficult. Ease the small wheels out at the front with an awl or similar. Unscrew all the screws and remove the cover. Check the belt. If a replacement is needed there are some more cover screws to remove. The belt is available online against other model numbers. Reassemble. For me, reseating the belt seems to have solved the irritation.Added. 6 months on and I had to dismantle the powerbrush again and free up the brush bar belt. All fine again. But this should not be necessary on an appliance that costs £150+ new. It's a design or a manufacturing fault. Hoover do not even tell you how to fix it; I had to work that out myself. Unless you are prepared to do some disassembly and reassembly from time to time buy a different brand.

It’s ok!
I have limited space so wanted a cordless vac. It’s good for the price when you look how much dyson charge. Battery life is ok, I can do my whole 2 bed house off one charge (doesn’t take that long to charge either). Suction power isn’t great however. Find myself going over and over the same bit again and again especially if it’s chunkier debris of any sort. When I need to replace it guess I’ll have to spend more

Does the job
when first tested suction did not seem to be great, but when used in anger for the first time it did the job quite well. Makes vacuuming a lot easier does the job

Great for where larger cleaners just can't get to....
Does just the job! Bought this specifically for cleaning our cars and stairs because of the main feature being that it's cordless. I struggle with dragging a bigger vacuum cleaner up the stairs & it doesn't require faffing around with extension leads with our larger cabled vacuum. It's lightweight & compact so can be moved around with ease. Despite some of the other ratings & comments I feel it is a great addition have in the household, therefore I am pleased with the product overall. It has lots of tools which are great for different uses. I haven't used the turbo function yet but the battery life was very sufficient and suction was good for all the debris in my car/up the stairs. It's also been great to squeeze in to those areas behind sofa's, beds and cupboards that you just can't get to with a larger cabled cleaner. For it's price and for specific needs around the home I'd recommend.

What's Hoover playing at?
Needed a lightweight vacuum cleaner and this wasn't so light as it's top heavy. Unfortunately I had to return it sure to a few reasons. The switch is...erratic? Lazy? Faulty? I couldn't figure it out. The vacuum would start and stop severally and all of a sudden it works. There really isn't any straightforward plug and play.Works well as a sweeper but leaves a lot of fluff, bits and pieces on the rugs. I'm not surprised because it doesn't appear to have decent amount of suction.. Quite difficult to change the brush/sweeper with any of the other parts. The button doesn't release it. On a scale of 1 to 10 difficulty, I'd say 8. I couldn't even manage it myself. Oh the bin!! You need a mask for the task as it generously spreads dust about. Really doesn't quite hold 0.7L. The button doesn't release the dust cover immediately as you have to help it along. The some screw cap which holds the filter in place is a poor design. The shape and smoothness makes it difficult to remove the filter. I consider this a design flaw. This vacuum cleaner is selective about what it picks up. Leaves really tiny objects behind. A pea size will not gain entry into the tube.I reckon the above flaws are plenty good enough for a return. I don't know what Hoover is playing at. Enough said.
