Deben Hawke HK3204 12110 1x25 Red Dot Gun Sight Scope

Just 4 days in. I've fitted this to my hw40, no problems. I have not been shooting for long and was finding it really difficult to shoot 'correctly' and consistently as I wear bi-focal glasses and also have a slight problem with glaucoma; focal length is a real issue to me. Depending how tired I was, lighting conditions, distance to target (usually between 6-10m depending on being in garden or garage) and pellets being tried out, shots could group from an inch to, well, a lot more. Since fitting this scope I've tried 11yds, rested, with a variety of pellets and I'm stunned how accurate the pistol is with whatever pellets. Getting pretty much 1/4" grouping whilst resting pistol and without the rest - 2 handed standing, I'm still surprised at the ever improving results. Its helped me realise how much accurate shooting is down to my technique and not the pistol or the pellets. I'm really enjoying this now. Great tool, and I think it's almost essential for me with my eye sight and maybe other older people with bi-focals. Next thing for me is to try it with my HW45, now there is a test.

Good service from Amazon, with item received a day ahead of the estimate.The sight is well finished and does have an overall feel of quality to it. It comes complete with a screw on sun shade extension that I haven't tried yet on account of there not being much in the way of sunshine around! The split mounts fit the odd size scope rails on my HW45 without any issues.I would like to have rated this sight higher than 3 stars but I was disappointed with the red 'dot' which isn't actually a dot at all. It's really more of a small oblong blob and is also a but fuzzy. There is also some noticeable parallax error present. The parallax error isn't that much of a surprise but I was expecting a better defined dot than what is actually generated by the LED.

For the price it's OK but personally I don't think it's suitable for a pistol or especially the HW45. Why not for a pistol? Well, if you are expecting to hold the pistol at arm's length to shoot they the red dot diffracts badly so that it doesn't appear as a precise point with which to aim. If you put your eye up to it, as you might with a rifle, then it appears tight and precise. Why not for the HW45? Well it can't handle the recoil. The led control on mine keeps jumping after each shot - that's to say that 0 on the knob is no longer the 'off' position, in fact the off position keeps changing with each shot and it sometimes turns itself off during shooting. HAving said that it appears to hold a 'zero' well and is accurate.

I really like this red dot. It is solid and works perfectly. What I don't like is the fact that you need a screwdriver to change windage and elevation, other than that I have no complaints.

First used this 7 weeks after purchase and find the 'red dot' isn't a red dot but a vague triangle shape which changes according to the level of illumination selected, rendering the sight pretty useless and now already out of return timescale.

Got the sights delivered today. If the reliability is there due to the HW45's recoil then this is a 5 star item. Good quality and the new vertically split mounts fit the HW45 a treat and as a bonus due to the vertical split are perfectly centred. I dialled in the sights earlier tonight (the red dot) and wow the accuracy is so much improved. Just want to clarify this is a pistol red dot and is not magnified and the dot is in the tube and no one else can see it. Another bonus is you see the pellet hit the target through the scope. On iron sights if the pellet hits below on online with the sights you miss the pleasure of seeing the pellet hit.I did some 5 group shots of various targets and the grouping was really improved and on a standard match target I got all 10 shots in the black centre and 3 bang centre

Well, what an awesome piece of kit for the money! So much better than iron sights and much more fun and, following much deliberation on here, fitted beautifully on my Artemis PP700SA (with a 12mm dovetail). Simply put, It is the perfect red dot for target shooting/garden plinking. BTW, the dot isn’t quite round, I looks more like a miniature Saturn! (hope this makes sense!). Also, please be clear, this does not zoom or magnify in any way whatsoever, it just produces a tiny red dot inside the scope barrel that can only be seen by the shooter. The dot has to be set up in the same way you would set up the cross hairs on a conversational scope. It’s a bargain! Massive well done to Deben. Highly Recomended.

very good if you have perfect vision. Very well made, Fast and accurate and easy to zero the red dot. If you need magnified image try one the their magnifying scopes.
