Yes, you may remove the V5-Cell Filter from your HealthPro Plus and only run the PreMax Pre-Filter and HyperHEPA Filter. Of course, only draw back to removing the V5-Cell Filter is that you will no longer be able to filters gases, odors and chemicals.

Yes, they are encased in styrofoam. The styrofoam is not packing. It is part of the filter unit.
