It's like somebody packed Slim Jims in lard.
These are in fact some of the worst chorizos I ever ate, and I've had a whole lot of them. The spice profile isn't awful but the texture is too loose and soft. It literally seems to be chorizo-spiced Slim Jims. And the ingredients are a nightmare ride too. How is it that authentic Spanish chorizos have only pork, garlic, and spices, yet these canned ones need a host of weird preservatives? Very bizarre food item right here. I would say it's not a total loss because the tin is filled to the brim with lard but I durst not use it because of the weird ingredients.

Hard to find in Los Angeles.
I've been a long time fan of El Ebro canned chorizo packed in lard. Loved it in my PR rice recipe. But it became hard to find in my area. Very happy to see it on Amazon. The price is high but it's just as I remember. It came quickly and packaged well, NO dented cans! Thank you so much, Katherine
