Forney 53423 Leather Heavy Duty Men's Welding Gloves with Reinforced Thumb, X-Large, Blue/Gold

This is our second pair. They last an extremely long time. We use them for moving logs in campfires and pulling things out of the oven. They are much better than oven mitts at protecting our hands from any kind of heat and cover more of our arms.

I used these for overhead welding welding and they worked great

Perfect for my need. I am using these while I am cooking on my Big Green Egg. Very comfortable.

I have a wood stove insert in my home's fireplace and i wear these welding gloves when i am stoking the fire! They are perfect to prevent my hands and arms from getting burned! I know...it's not a welding application but it certainly works for me!

Good quality but the fingers aren't long enough for the big hand. Still looking for a good fit in an XL MIG glove,

Holds heat for my big green egg perfectly well at 700 degrees

These gloves were extremely reliable and have lasted 5 months of intense welding-student abuse. Highly recommended. P.S. the first thing to come apart was the yellowish "reinforcement" leather on the inside of the palm/thumb area, I recommend Forney gloves that don't have this reinforcement (so that it can't catch on anything and tear the stitching).

For the price, these gloves are fantastic. I haven’t pished them to their likits, but they pick up hot cast iron like nothing.
