Made in china (all clad division) or in italy? we have ruffoni...from italy...how is quality comparison?

MADE IN CHINA!! they do everything they can to hide this information!! Even on their website it is not clear. This is stainless steal with copper, not comparable to the fine copper made in Italy!!!

What is the thickness of copper? It is said should be >2.5mm

The pot thickness would be 2.5mm or more seems pretty sturdy. I would say copper thickness it is less than 0.25mm, it's just seems electroplated, not a sheet of copper. It's almost as thick as moisturizer layer one would put on skin. My skillet turned very light shade of pink and steel

Do the pots loose the pretty copper shine? Must one continually use copper cleaner?

Of course they do they are copper, a reactive metal. If you want them to stay pristine for display, buy them hang them, and do not use them. If you want to use them but want them to look new, get out the elbow grease, some Bar Keeper's Friend, and some Wright's Copper Cream. If you want to use them and aren't hung up on how the copper looks (it'll work just fine even with the patina) the use them and be happy.

can i use the copper ones on an induction hob?
