What is the pocket size on these shorts?

The two side pockets are 4 in. wide x 7in. deep and will accommodate a wallet or standard sized cell phone easily. The rear zip pocket is 4 in. wide and 3 in. deep and will hold keys, credit cards, energy bar etc.

are these able to be used in chlorine?

Not sure, but my experience has been chlorine and Lycra or and similar fabric don’t work well in the long run. Regular wash without bleach should be good.

Triathlon Experience?

I didn't buy these for triathlons. I wouldn't use them for 1. They have pockets. I bought 3 pair for an upcoming 3 week bike tour instead of the bibs I wear for competition.
