Yes, 100% real boar bristles. Our boar bristles are from wild boars raised on small farms in rugged terrains and climate conditions. The boar bristles are extracted from the alive boar, which like shaving wool. The farmers plan a picking time according to different boars instead of killing or hurt them.

This brush doesn't have any plastic bristles or tips. The customer shows wrong photo of another brush because he bought both pure boar brush and mixed bristles brush.

How to clean brush with soap and water since handle is wood? Any cleaning methods recommended?

1.Use the tail comb to gently remove matted hair up and out of the bristles. 2.Wet the bristles, and then rub a few drops of gentle shampoo into the bristles. 3. Scrub the bristles with a tool or old toothbrush to remove product residue and oils. 4. Rinse the bristles thoroughly. Dry it ASAP with towels, then allow it to air dry bristle-side-down on a towel (Do not expose in the sun.)
