13 in 1 USB C Docking Station - Dual Monitor, Triple Display, 8 USB C/A Ports, Ethernet, Audio - LIONWEI USB C Hub for MacBook,Dell,HP,Lenovo,Surface

I brought this item on Jul 2024, and it stays on my office's desk. I used it to connect 2 monitors, ethernet cable, 4 USB devices and charging. Used for the entire day whenever I'm in office. Fast forward to Nov 2024, and one of the HDMI ports simply died (monitors are fine, I can switch ports and each monitors work separately). Also had someone else connect their computer to the dock, and the same faulty behavior persists. Furthermore, happens almost once every day, monitor flickers off and on, as if I had disconnected my computer, but it's just the dock kind of restarting. Sometimes after my computer turns off tis screen if I'm away for too long, the external monitor won't turn on again, and I have to disconnect and reconnect the dock to make it work again. Overall a shoddy, unreliable product. Waste of money, do not buy.

Runs warm to hot. I did not push unit hard, as most connected devices are not used often (external HD, optical drive, printer). Worked great for 8 months. The symptoms of failure: 1) sudden stop of audio during Youtube, and 2) stop of internet functionality (no mouse function, unable to change sites or move about). No correlation to Windows 11 updates. Laptop works fine without docking station. Technical support not able to provide effective solutions. I would recommend spending more (yuck) for a quality machine vs having to deal with sudden failures and lack of solutions to fix.

As a hub, it works fine. It is neatly compact and is quick, with little noticeable delay in everyday use. However, with a very thin case on the notebook, the hub adapter does fit snug/securely to the notebook. In the photos I included, the adapter it powered on only then the device is crooked. Over time, this is not good for the computer's USB-C ports. Additionally, this I now sensitive to being bumped which then causes the HDMI to blink out on the external monitor which takes 15-20 seconds for the monitor to detect & refresh to reconnect. Not to mention any drives connected are at risk of corruption if any write operations are occurring when the device is knocked loose. When lined up as straight as can be with this case, the dock will not power on (notice the light indicator is out but the screen is on). Going with a 1* because a dock should be adding convenience through additional connectivity, not creating risk to data and annoying glitches to monitor connectivity, and it should work with reasonable accessories like a case installed.

I have the 2020 Mac book pro M1 chip, and I ordered this product so that I could use it for school work and be able to use a regular USB and the HDMI cable. Once I received the product I did not think I would have any issues, it felt like a quality piece and the finishes looked gorgeous, but IT DOES NOT WORK! This product worked for like an hour. I had it plugged into my laptop while using a USB and on a stable desk. I was not moving around or messing with the device. After about an hour the light that indicates it is on began to flicker, and then I received a notification stating that I had not safety removed my USB and I almost lost my school work along with it. I removed the device thinking I had used it for too long and let it rest inside of the soft pouch that came along with it. I didn't use it for about a week, when I came back to use my USB again I plugged in the device and the light did not turn on again. I thought the light had just gone out an the device might still work, so I plugged in my USB and nothing. I have been trying since hoping it will work again. It is too late for me return it, but I would have if I had checked it sooner and noticed it was a terrible device.

Many products that present themselves as high quality, have the tendancy to gain trust, and then after the return or support date, start to reveal problems that users report long after it's too late. We may use them sparingly and not really know the hidden problem, until way later. And more time may pass until we trouble shoot different avenues oof the cause, finally leading to the true surprising source. This product seems to work. Seems to be built good. It's simple and straight forward. I didn't notice there was a intermittent, fluctuating, connect/ disconnect going on until I used it with audio work station devices. I heard a difficult to trace windows musical tone. The kind you hear if you were to randomly unplug and replug a USB device. I finally traced it to this USB hub. My USB 3 Nikon camera, Drone, and Backup drives would actually disconnect during file transfers! I received a Windows 10 warning that whatever device I was downloading from stopped working! Very concerning when downloading image files from a clients photoshoot! I own my business, build my computers, and have been doing this sort of work for years. This problem has been reported in reviews. Unfortunately, you can use this product with certain devices that are "hooked up" most of the time, but not used regularly, and never know there is a problem. Midi keyboards and controllers, web cams, etc. Everything works when this unit is by-passed and connected direct to PC usb ports. Otherwise when connected to this USB Hub, they may work for a few minutes when activated, but the disconnect randomly. Thus I can not recommend the quality of these units. They look and feel sturdy. But I have to spend another $40.+ and research for a serious USB hub. You will not find it here Folks! Move on!

This is for the 4 monitor with the 8k DP. Looks nice but the second screen doesn't stop flickering and it cant be plugged into the laptop without unplugging the power and then plugging the power back in (It works without the type c power then you have to connect power afterwards), the laptop won't stop complaining like something is being unplugged and then plugged back in. Laptop is a precision 5530 and works fine with other USB c hubs. No issues with the laptop port. Changed thunderbolt 3 settings in bios to on, off, secure only, ect etc. Installed multiple 3rd party drivers from lionwei website. No avail. No issues when it works, which is less than 1% of the time. You cant research it because there is one single Google search result for the LIUC0232 and it is for a sales listing in German on a European website. Im buying another company's USB hub to replace this one.

I had to unplug the keyboard/mouse from this docking station and put in the laptop so I could type this review. I was feeling bad about leaving a 1 star but after a couple of frustrating minutes I now want to leave a 0 star review. I only have the monitor and keyboard plugged in and it's infuriatingly slow. Waste of money. I should have returned.

Purchased 5/15/25. Worked OK for a while. External hard drive wouldn't work thru dock. Display port monitor quit working sporadically for a while then quit altogether. I have reached out twice, trying the things they suggested with no luck. Now they are asking for a video of the malfunctions. Also the Cat 5 connection for internet was extremely slow, my wifi on laptop was faster. I am done with this and bought a Dell docking station.

TL;DR Great USB C hub for Macbook Pro 16. It has all the necessary adaptors and it has a good low profile shape which can be integrated smoothly with the MBP 16. (See uploaded video) I will highly recommend this hub. Pros: 1. I purchased this usb c hub to convert the my MBP16 usb c to USB-A and sd card reader. And it works great, every usb converting function is working as expected. In the meantime, the hub won't get extremely hot (my previous adaptor does). It will keep in a warm temperature which is acceptable. 2. I occasionally use its HDMI adaptor to connect my MBP to a 1080P monitor, and the monitor can work smoothly in 60HZ. 3. I really like its low profile design and it can be connected/integrated with my MBP smoothly. The hub is tightly connected with my mac and they are almost in the same level, I can put my mac on the desk and do not need to worry if the hub has bump or create uneven point. Cons: 1. The hub's power light won't turn off, even I shutoff my laptop. It maybe because I have my mac's power cable always connected, but I think it makes more sensor to shutdown the hub if the laptop is in sleep mode or shutdown. 2. It lacks DP adaptor. I think this "Con" belongs to Apple. I cannot find a usb c to hdmi adaptor that support 4k 60Hz output. So to use mac with 4K 60Hz monitor, it needs to be "usbc to usbc" or "usbc to dp". In general, I think a DP adaptor is more preferable than a HDMI for a Mac.

So far this product has been really good for all the uses I needed out of it. The build quality is really great, all the ports work really well and are sturdy. There is no part of the product that is creaking or a loose piece of plastic. It fits really well if there is no protective case on your Macbook, which I didn't mind removing but some people might. The best feature about this product is the Hdmi port. The resolution on that port which the monitor receives is really good in quality. This is definitely a good buy. The only thing that is left to be spoken for is the life of this product. So far it has been really good.

When updated from my 2014 MacBook, I ended up with four thunderbolt micro usb-c ports and no USB ports at all. This gadget is a must and not realising I already had a smaller version and thought I had lost it have ended up with two but I use both with one each side of my MacBook, unfortunately the one on the right covers my headphone socket but not really a big problem (nobody's fault) but in the daytime I use all the sockets to drive my extra monitors each side of my computer giving three screens to use for my music pro midi software - brilliant product

i love the fact that you can charge your mac at the same time, this is a must have feature for every hub adapter. it's sturdy as well

The hub can't be inserted when the laptop is on charge. I work as a designer so my laptop is always on charge which means I can't connect my drives. Waste of money and wish I could get a refund
