I haven't found better microwave dishes than these
I have searched long and hard for decent microwave dishes and am glad to say that I have finally found them.Yes they don't seal 100% and may leak but at the end of the day I was not looking for travel bowls I was looking for microwave dishes. All you have to do is keep them upright. The vent delivers the perfect amount of steam to allow my sensor microwave to work perfectly and the clip on lids are a fantastic feature preventing accidental spills from happening. The colour is sensible as it doesn't show stains and they are easy to clean as well.I also like the fact that you can freeze, transfer to microwave and eat from the dish all in one.

Excellent Microwave Plate for Fish and Bacon
Interesting, I purchased this with a view to cooking bacon in the microwave (it did come up in the search for microwaving bacon). When I looked at the instructions that came with it they said not to be used with fatty foods such as bacon. Hmm, anyway as we buy lean cut bacon I thought I would give it ago - perfect. There was no distortion of the plate or rack and the bacon was cooked in about a minute - no spitting cooking oil/fat and no frying pan to clean, just a quick wash in hot water. As to cooking fish, I tried small salmon steaks (I'm not that rich) and they were perfect in about a minute, still soft and flaky, without too much fishy smell lingering about for hours. I'm really pleased with this purchase and would recommend it.

Sistema Microwave Large Plate | 1.3 L | Microwave Container.
This wasn't quite as large as I would have liked, as it is just too small for my dinner plate – though that was my fault in not measuring it before purchase. It's nevertheless a good container; it comes with an insert tray for steaming and has locks on all four sides and a venting hole on the cover; I got it for microwaving fish and vegetables, but it's a versatile item and has a good capacity. It's still a useful addition to my kitchen and has been okay so far.

I love these.
I originally bought two of these - one for my daughter's partner to take to work - he puts it flat in the bottom of a plastic carrier bag with his other gear on top so it stays level. He'd take left over casserole or such from evening before to eat at lunch time. The other I used for all sorts of things.Later I bought three more so we could take them on picnics for the 4 of us - storing individual foodstuff items each with a lid on and later share the contents out on to the four plates. They have all been used frequently with no problems both in the microwave and out.One thing I did find though after I microwaved some "cook in a pouch" long grain rice in it's own pouch and then replaced the pouch with the Sistema 1.3 Litre plate with curry just on one side of the plate - lid on and vent open - to heat up the curry and keeping the rice on the worktop. The curry had more body than liquid and stayed on the one half of the plate where I placed it.I like to heat the rice in its own pouch or similar and not have the curry and the rice mixing together while cooking. On taking the plate out of the microwave after 3 or 4 minutes and removing the lid I found the base had warped - not cracked or damaged except for being bent. I can still eat of it and I use the bent plate whenever I heat curry these days.I can only assume that having the curry on just one side of the plate meant that side of the plate had got hotter on that side than the other - THOUGH THE LID STILL FITS ON SECURELY.This has not happened with any of the other plates or Sistema products probably because I now make sure the food is evenly distributed or at least foods with a fat content are spread out over the as they tend to get hotter.Already pleased with the rest of the 4 plates - I bought another to replace the damaged one so I had still had four perfect plates and so keep the warped one for similar heat-ups.

Good quality, a bit shallow. It really is designed as a plate
Good quality like all the Sistema pots I own, although some are prone to staining.Sistema pots are BPA free which is very reassuring to a man :) and impacted on my purchase choice.Only disappointment is that I didn't take the product name 'plate' into account. This item is wide and very shallow. It is good as a plate to reheat food and eat straight from the microwave but I would recommend one of the deeper Sistema pots for actual cooking.I'm keeping it though, perfect to take a portion of food to work for lunch.Watertight so far but not sure how that will hold up after a few turns in the microwave. Some of the lids on my older Sistema pots do allow the contents to drip out if not held upright.

so easy so fast so delicious
I am always worry about using plastic in anything, but as I am now in travel and need something fast so I knew this technique for the first time in a deal of the day offers, so I decided to give it a try.So my first try was 0.300 kg salmon fillet ( I spiced it with a spoon of olive oil with black pepper ) , 200 g mushrooms and 300 g broccoli.I added 50 ml of water first then the salmon then the other ingredients.I set up the microwave into 900 and I guessed 13 minutes will be enough. The result was unbelievable :juicy delicious with the whole flavor.I was so sorry that I didn't know this before.
