I am impressed with these lightbulbs! You use them as an every day lightbulb in a nightstand lamp, etc. That’s how the lightbulbs charge. In case of a power outage, you just take the lightbulb out of your lamp and screw it into a small little socket that comes with it. The socket has a hook so you can hang up the lightbulb if you want. These lightbulbs give off great light. I’m not sure what the charge life is on these when having to use them in an emergency. But they do work out of a lamp like they are supposed to. I feel the price is great for the product. I highly recommend!

I really love these bulbs. They are much brighter than regular bulbs and the light looks clean and even in the room. They are easy to use because you screw them in like a normal bulb and they charge while you have them on. The battery lasts a long time and during a blackout they turn on immediately which has helped me so many times. They also look great in lamps and give off a nice warm glow that feels comfortable on the eyes. In my experience they work best in lamps. When I tried them in my ceiling fixtures and in my ceiling fan the switch would not turn them off, so I moved them back to my lamps and they work perfectly. The switch works normally and the bulbs charge without any problem. They fit standard sockets and the brightness stays strong every time you turn them on. For the price the value is amazing. They are bright, long lasting, easy to use, and they make the room look better. I keep them around the house because they give me peace of mind when the power drops.

These light bulbs are great & life savers when it comes to power surges & loss of power. They automatically go on when no power. .

I purchased these lamps to replace another set that stopped working. They are bright but they will not hurt your eyes. They are great for dark areas anywhere. Portable and dependable. Bought a second set as a gift. They have come in handy when repairs are made in a dark ares of the house. No electricity, no problem.

I had a power outage this week, during a snowstorm. My power actually goes out quite frequently, so I bought a set of these bulbs so the whole house wouldn't be in darkness. When I plugged them in 3 of the 4 worked ( I will try to return the one that didn't work and let you know if they returned them without a problem). What a difference to have light in the house!! They really saved me and no expensive generator needed. They're super convenient to have around and I'll probably get another set for myself and for my kids as well. The color was good and I would definitely take these camping with my boyfriend. 5 stars for sure... really came in handy and they're not expensive.

If you are looking for a bulb that automatically turns on when there is a power outage this is not it. None of these types of bulbs are. Basically this is a rechargeable flashlight in the shape of a bulb. In a lamp or ceiling fixture it works like a regular LED bulb. When the power is turned off, say at a switch, the bulb goes off. In order for it to work during a power outage you either need to screw the bulb into the hanging base that is provided or, in the case of a lamp, you need to unplug it from the wall and put a metal clip across the prongs of the plug. Either way, it is a flashlight. I wouldn't recommend using it In a ceiling fixture because you would have to remove the bulb to use it. I gave it 3 stars because it was 1/3 the price of the GE bulb.

These light bulbs are fantastic! Bought them for my off grid cabin. They charge up when the generator is operating so that when we turn it off at night, the lights still work. Will definately purchase again.

these were exactly what i wanted in a bulb. perfect in light,size and for charging. i used this in a false wall light and its perfect

These are great for areas with no outlets but absolutely great during power outages. They have little hooks attachments to put them in ,instead of the lamps during power trouble and you can hang them where ever you need too
