Are the rugs fire resistant?

They are made of drinking straws. They are beautiful. But, personally, I believe they would melt and burn if they come in contact with heat.

Is this rug slippery when wet and could make someone fall? The reviews are good but no one has said anything about this.

It could be a little slippery, yes. We have 2 on our covered porch with furniture on both, so we don't really walk on it that much when it is wet. Love the look of the rugs, though!!!

Can I cut this rug so it will fit around a post?

The rug is made of a plastic weaved material and would probably fall apart if cut.
