Value and performance!
I have used Master's chalk for what seems to me a lifetime. After installing the second (in two years) Simonis 860hr tournament blue cloth on our Diamond 9' home table, I really started to take notice of chalk. The overall cost of materials and labor to have the best playing surface available requires consideration. The choice I made was easy. Forget about the low cost of the Blue Diamond brand. It's a bonus. The other reviewers are correct in their comments. The chalk is smooth, long-lasting, and has a grip. I really enjoy the play of a clean table. I get the best surface when chalk doesn't explode all over the new cloth. Therefore, in my humble opinion, get Blue Diamond Chalk. Best value for this player.

Great chalk at a great price that out performs other premium chalks.
After using Master initially I started using predator and that left a mess all over everything. Looked at reviews and gave Blue diamond a try and have been using it ever since. Clean, stays on tip and gives me alot better draws, spins and cue ball control without the mess at a great price. Are there better chalks....yes but I'm not one to spend 20-30 bucks on 1 piece of chalk that only gives me slight improvements.

Good chalk. A little pricey!
I have been using this chalk for about a month now and so far i'm pleased with it. I stays on my cue tip very well and I can normally shoot three or four times without rechalking. Also as an added plus it seems to last longer than other chalks. So far so good. I will be buying this again in the future.

Best chalk out there for the money: effective, long-lasting, clean
Blue Diamond chalk is, by far, my favorite brand. It's more expensive than Master Chalk, but not by an awful lot. One cube also tends to last me a lot longer than a cube of Master. In fact, I almost always tend to misplace it long before I use it up. I think about chalk kind of like lighters: you can buy the cheap-out generic disposable lighter (Triangle, Silver Cup, Master) or you can pay dozens of times more for a fancy zippo (Kamui, Taom). Your best bet, however, is a trusty ole Bic that you're almost sure to lose before it's no longer functional. Blue Diamond is the Bic of billiards chalk. Of course, chalking before every shot as part of one's pre-shot routine is ideal, but sometimes when you get in the zone, it's preferable to just go with the flow and keep shooting the eyes off them balls. Sure, a $30 piece of Taom will let you shoot a whole rack without reapplying, but so will Blue Diamond. In fact, I find that a single application of Blue Diamond lasts almost as long as Taom or Kamui Roku (and, again, misplacing three sawbucks stings a lot more than three dollars). However, if you *are* following best practices and chalking regularly, Blue Diamond gets the job done and won't break the bank. It's also fairly clean, much more so than Predator or Kamui. Unlike several of the waxier high-end chalks, Blue Diamond tends to stay where it's supposed to (on the tip of your cue). This chalk is a little on the hard side, but it isn't difficult to apply by any means. It doesn't go on quite as smoothly as Predator, Kamui, or Taom, but unlike those chalks, it tends not to get all over the place. Try some Blue Diamond. You won't find a better bargain for high-end chalk (steer clear of other Longoni chalks, though. They're not even in the same league as BD, much less the same ballpark).

Better Chalk Better English
Blue Diamond chalk is my go to chalk. I personally have found it to be better than most brands, being far superior to Silver Cup or Masters chalk that is normally found in pool table bars and such. Worth the price.

I like it. Not as messy as some others.
This is harder and thus less messy than Master. Seems to grip as good or better. Masters is great, but it does leave more residue. Though it cost more per piece, I think the longer life may offset that. And…. Less mess. Update: I’ve been using this for about a week, and it’s exceeded my expectation: 1. Far less messy 2. Fantastic grip 3. A little goes a long way 4. Cube is barely used Note: I very lightly chalk with every shot. Update: been using this for several months now. It’s works as well as anything and is FAR less messy. Also lasts longer. Won’t go back to softer chalk.

Good quality chalk.
Very high quality chalk at a very reasonable price compared to other premium chalks. The only downside is it's just as dirty as Masters or Triangle chalk however it applies better to harder tips and stays on the tip longer than Masters or Triangle. It's a very good chalk for the price.

Great chalk
Great chalk as advertised. Sticks to the tip well. No need to chalk before every shot. Two cubes should last a long time offsetting the higher cost compared to Master.
