I got this to cut foam. It worked very well.

My first electric knife. I used it to cut my Tempurpedic mattress down from a king to a queen. It worked really well. It's easy to use (even on a super long, difficult job like cutting a straight line through my 10 inch mattress). Easy to clean. And it comes in a handy storage box. I haven't used it for food yet, but I'm sure it will be great.

First off, I've only used these to cut a memory foam mattress topper to fit the back of a small van for padding when I'm taking the dogs along with me. Not a traditional use, for sure, but they do an exceptional job cutting foam. It made cutting floppy foam easier than expected and the cuts are smooth and clean. They're ergonomic in my hands and easy to hold. They seem quiet to me, but I haven't used an electric knife in many years, so I may not be the best judge. The blades are sharp and easy to install when I'm ready to cut something. There aren't a bunch of safety switches to depress just to make a cut, you just pull the trigger and get to work. In short, for the low price I paid, these are a lot better than what I expected. Now that I'm done cutting the memory foam, I'll put them to use filleting fish. Lots of people use electric knives for that job, and the narrow width of the blades should allow this to be a great filet knife. Now I just need to catch some. There might a downside. I looked for replacement blades - there's nothing sticking to or otherwise wrong with the blades after cutting the foam - but so far, I haven't found replacements. If I wore these out, I'd hate to think I'd need to buy a new knife but let me emphasize, I looked for blades, but I did not do a thorough search. Yet. I like this knife more than I thought I would and I recommend it highly.

I had my last meat carver for years and really only used it during Thanksgiving, but it finally broke at the blade attachment point. I picked up this Hamilton Beach model as a replacement, and so far it’s been solid. Only time will tell how long it holds up since I really only use it once a year, but it definitely made a good first impression. It cut fast and clean, and I used it to carve two turkeys — one smoked and one fried — plus a ham. No bogging down, no struggling, just smooth slicing. For a once‑a‑year tool, it does exactly what I need and makes holiday carving a lot easier.

Delivers perfect rib, brisket, and turkey slices. Easy to use and I like the included storage case.

When I purchased this knife, I never noticed that one of the images showed the electrical connection was for the USA. However, I had a UK to universal adapter. As soon as I switched it on, it started smoking so I turned it off. It is clearly designed to operate on 110V and not 240V. This should be clearly advertised as unsuitable for any country that does not use 110V. Please don’t make the same mistake as I did.
