I purchased the Ticonderoga Wood-Cased Pencils, Pre-Sharpened, #2 HB Soft, Pastel Colors, 150 Count and it turned out to be an excellent choice for elementary school classroom needs. Ticonderoga is my go to pencil brand, these colors are so beautiful! I bought these for Valentine’s Day to gift to my students. It’s perfect they are sharpened and ready to use. Very sturdy, and great value!

Firstly, the colors are very cute. Secondly, the graphite is sturdy but somehow creamy at the same time. Ticonderoga does graphite well. I like that I can use a super fine point that is strong enough to not snap while trying to make a bold mark. The set comes pre sharpened so they're ready to be used right out of the box. Each pencil has a satisfying weight and balance that makes it comfortable to grip while writing.

Can't beat a Ticondaroga pencil! Although I do like the Old Schoolness of the standard pencil, these new colors are very pleasing to the eye!

Ticonderoga pencils have always been my go-to, and these bright colored ones make them even better. They still have the same high quality you expect from the brand, but the fun colors give them a fresh, playful twist that kids love. I've always heard about Ticonderoga pencils but wondered what big deal is it. It's just another school pencil with a hefty price tag. We'll I was surprisingly wrong. It was amazing. Writes smooth, has a functional eraser (you know most pencil top erasers are grabage), comes pre-sharpened, and lead doesn't break even with a crappy pencil sharpener. I would stick with the plain yellow ones if you or your kiddos don't really care (cuz they're cheaper). I know my daughter likes girly stuff so I picked out the pastel colors. It is a standard pencil so it's long. If kiddo is hust beginning to put pencil to paper I would stick with the chubby short ones from Ticonderoga. Definitely worth the investment.

I love these pencils. Long lasting and write really well. I gave them as teacher gifts and kept the rest for me!

They look pretty and are as expected. Dixon pencils have never let us down. My daughter loves these. She calls these ‘the Roald Dahl’ pencils and apparently helps her with any creative writing work.
