Very effective. Was easy to set up. Is doing a great job keeping a 14.3 cob in her paddock. Even at this time of year, since setting up at Christmas we haven't had to charge it up manually. Very pleased. The field is quite larges, about 1.5 football pitches and it works all the way round with two sets of tape being charged by it.

Arrived promptly and after a charge on the mains to get it started it was out and on duty. It replaced a smaller unit so I did not have get a fence and stake. It has worked for the last 48hours and the flash and tick from the fence showed that it worked on a drizzly October day and stored enough for overnight. I still expect to top it up in the winter. So top marks for ease of set up and functioning as designed. The smaller unit was replaced as the seagulls and heron treated it with disdain, it really did not bother them. This morning I watched on CCTV as the heron received several jolts as it went through the fence, you could see it flinch, but it still got to the pond. I will be extending the wire of the fence but the learning is that there is not sufficient power to stop or deter the bird, only to teach it some respect. It did keep its distance from the wire as it took off when I appeared. So a good bit of kit but for some purposes it serves only as a warning not a solution. That is were the final star was lost as the description did include protection against herons, which it isn’t. Update Six months later and over the winter I only had to recharge it from the mains three times so that exceeded expectations. I have added a star as after its initial casual approach the heron has only been back a couple of times and then it kept a distance from the fence. It flies over most weeks, being chased by the gulls, but does not stop. So it appears that the unit is now earning its keep as intended.

This has been the best thing I have bought for my electric fencing. I bought this in August last year and only charged it twice. Can’t recommend it enough! No more charging and carrying heavy battery’s about.

Mine didn’t come with a battery charger and although the batteries themselves came fully charged and the unit says it’s on, the cables are not functioning. There’s isn’t an earthing cable. The unit does not work.

Excellent charger ,easy to use and arrived quickly

A well priced item, easy to set up apart from the stand which has no instructions. The flashing light that shows when the unit is on is tiny and very hard to see in most lights. Saying that, the item works well and is far better value than many other solar energisers so if you want a deterrent that works without spending too much this could be for you.

Great electrical fence! PROS: -Easy to install -Work like a charm -Last all the years long with good orientation -Don't need to plug on outlet CONS: -Nothing to worried, just that the sticker near the button and the Led took off with rain and sun! Best way too kept the deers away from my apple trees.

This charger works as advertised! I used it to control my cattle herd. The unit experienced some difficulty so I contacted customer service. They were very proactive, suggesting a fix and when that did not work, they promptly issued a replacement. Great customer service! Would buy again.

Good to see this was Australian designed (China build) and it seems to be really good value. Haven't tried it yet but am confident it will be sufficient for our needs. Great service.

I bought the My Animal Command solar charger after reading lots of positive articles and reviews. It is replacing my Parmak DF-SP-LI solar charger that we bought a year ago. The Parmak never worked properly even after returning it (at my cost) to the factory TWICE! In addition, the Parmak costs about $100 more. The charger is for our 100' x 50' garden. We've run 4 strands of 6 wired polyrope in parallel around the entire garden with a single strand 3 feet outside to visually discourage deer. The charger comes with a separate Wall adapter so you can fully charge the battery via the built in DC Port on the unit. It took less that 4 hours before it was fully charged and ready to install. I attached the charger to a t-post and then attached my ground and positive wired to the easily accessible posts on the charger. There is a large on/off button on the front of the charger plus a LED light that flashes to show the current discharging into the fence. I decided to test the current with my hand....IT WORKS! We have only had the new charger for 2 months so can't predict how long it will last. Based on reviews, it has been very dependable for other users. We are very happy to have the My Animal Control solar charger and glad to be rid of the Parmak.

This was absolutely perfect for my garden. It was full power all the time for my garden. 12000. Kept my large dogs out. Even if grass grew into the energy fence never dropped the voltage of unit. Also for my garden did not have to have a 5 ft grounding rod. Until comes.with all I needed to get the results I wanted. Very easy set up! Company totally stands behind their product. After a year it stopped working. Told company and immediately shipped brand new unit out.
