I’m extremely impressed with the Andis TS-1 Pro Foil Shaver. This thing delivers a very smooth shave—honestly one of the closest I’ve gotten without irritation. As a Black man, razor bumps are always a concern, but pairing this with Bump Patrol has made a huge difference. I’ve experienced little to no razor bumps, which is a big win for me. The motor is strong and consistent, and you can feel the quality right away. It doesn’t snag or pull, and the titanium foils glide effortlessly across the skin. Whether I’m doing a quick touch-up or a full shave, it gets the job done fast and clean. Battery life is solid, and I like having the cord/cordless flexibility. Overall, it feels durable, well-built, and professional-grade. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a smooth, irritation-free shave—especially if you struggle with razor bumps.

Works great as long as your whiskers are short. Let them get too long and you’ll need to use a trimmer or blade. Use daily and you should be fine. Also, it’s a good idea to open it after one or two uses and brush it out (basically keeping the blades clean). This should extend the blade life

I am 45 years old & have been shaving my head since 1996. I use a straight razor and go with and the against the grain so even when pulling my skin back you feel no hair. I have tried so many different electric razors that I lost count. They ALL claimed to not leave stubble, rashly skin, small cuts, etc… after gaining a little weight over the years I’ve developed a few folds on the back of my neck and I have to be super careful now to not slice a chunk out when using the straight edge. I finally looked into an electrical razor again and after about 2 1/2 hours of searching I landed on this one. And I am SO GLAD I did. I tried it right out of the box and I was floored! Amazed! I couldn’t believe it! This think didn’t just work but it worked VERY well! I had gone about a 9 days since my last shave due to a cut from the straight edge and it didn’t matter. This thing allowed me to Shane my head (dry) in just a few minutes. And left no little spots that the razor couldn’t reach, IT…GOT…THEM…ALL. The only downfall is that it didn’t get it as smooth at it does when I use my straight edge against the grain but that’s just something I like to do, or maybe liked to do because after using this and how fast and easy it is I don’t think it will even matter anymore. I can go this faster than brushing my teeth so an everyday thing will be no problem at all. As a bonus it dud something else that was a very nice surprise. I was able to shave my face and neck (dry) as well. Every and I mean every single electric razor I’ve tried on my face and neck in the past has not only not worked but after just touching my skin felt like it was pulling each hair out one by one. And when I did suffer through it hoping it might get easier it just left a nasty rash that lasted for days. So I was amazed when this working on my face & neck too!! Not a nick, scratch or razor bump came out of it. FINALLY!!! You also get a nice little face cleaner brush, massager and trimming attachments. I’ve seen others for 4,4 even 5 times the price of this and almost bought one of those on that itself. How can something that costs so little act work so well, right? After the reviews on here and a few other places this is the one I had to try and I’m so glad I did. You will be too, I guarantee it. If you are a head shaver and/or have sensitive skin, stop looking and order this now. And NO, I am not someone paid to write this and I do not work or promote for the company. In fact in over 10 years I might have only left 4-5 reviews for anything I’ve bought on here and I buy all the time. This is just do good and I’m so happy that I finally found something that worked and worked better than I could have ever expected that I had to leave this super long review. That part I didn’t mean but I just can’t stop. I guess I will now though as I’m sure you get my point.

Quality has gone WAY down on these shavers. Bought one because my barber used it, so I thought I was getting commercial quality. First parts malfunctioned after two months. Had it less than a year and after shaving my head once, maybe twice per week it’s already starting to fall apart. My critique (with pics to support): - It comes with a brush to clean the foils, but does little to actually clear them. I have better luck with an air compressor, but I would recommend throwing away the brush upon receipt. - After the first two months, the tiny tab that locks the head onto the body no longer holds. It’s less than 1mm of plastic that is supposed to fit into the female portion of the side. It quickly wore off and now the head needs to be taped to secure it to the body. - The charging port is super flimsy and came disconnected inside of the body. I had to open up the unit to reposition it and was surprised to see there really isn’t anything holding it in its place other than the internals being snug. There’s no real mount to prevent it from moving. Overall, the shaver just feels fragile. The plastic head feels very thin, brittle and flimsy. Attachment points are weak. Body doesn’t feel like it would hold up to the slightest drop. Does it get a super clean shave? DEFINITELY. But only if you’re holding the top on after you took 30 minutes to remount the charging port.

This is the best automatic shaver I've ever used on my head. It gets close enough to a razor for the difference to be negligible. I have used rotary shavers before and they work well enough. But, nowhere near as fast and as close as this one. But, it struggles on my facial hair. It irritates my skin enough to cause bumps/stinging. I have been told that this might be from applying excessive pressure. However, if I apply less pressure, the shave is not close enough. I did not experience this issue with the rotary shaver but, that rotary also didn't get anywhere near as close as this one. With that said, I'm quite obese and my face is not a typical one that this shaver will encounter so that, or perhaps the sensitivity of my facial skin, are also potential culprits. It's light, packs easily, fits well in my hand, and is reasonably quiet albeit certainly not silent. I would recommend this product to people who have less facial fat and less sensitive skin. Or, for those who want a great daily clipper for keeping bald.

I’ve been using this Andis foil shaver for a couple weeks now and it’s become my daily go-to. I keep my head shaved bald and do my own fades on the sides, and this thing gets it skin-close without the irritation I usually get from razors. It’s super lightweight (feels like it weighs nothing) and the lithium battery lasts forever — I’ve done multiple full shaves and it’s still going strong after a week. The gold titanium foil is smooth on the skin and does a great job on short stubble and cleanup around the neck and jawline. Just glide it and it cuts clean.

I am more than pleased with this shaver. Before buying this shaver, I used the most advanced Panasonic electric shaver. I thought it would deliver the closest shave for an electric razor. After using the Andis shaver, I will never return to my previous shaver. The Andis is incredible. It provides a much closer shave than the Panasonic at a significantly lower cost, plus, I now shave in less than half the time than before, when using the Panasonic. After shaving there is no "stubble" left. My face is very smooth. I can't praise the Andis enough. I am extremely happy with the shaver. One caveat, however. Because it shaves so closely, it is slightly irritating to the skin but this is a minor complaint. I gladly accept this in order to receive such close shaves. I can't praise this razor enough. Great product. Andis could improve their plastic shaver guard. It is sometimes difficult to lock properly. However this is a minor negative and does not affect my 5 star rating.

This was recommended by our barber and it worked so well we purchased it for two other family members. Buy a replacement head too, but the original head will last a long time so you’ll have a back up when you eventually need it.

Excelente, la uso para afeitarme todos los días, la pila le dura unos 22 días. Y si te rasuras todos los días, te deja un afeitado al raz. Si dejas crecer la barba de unos dos días, le xuimas trabajo pero si la corta. Buenas potencia de motor.

This shaver hubby first had used on him at a barber shop in Vancouver . They didn’t have a cut throat to shave his head, but used this shaver. It was smooth as using a cut throat on your head ! He was amazed , so we bought one when we got back to Sydney . The foils/blades do wear eventually , but are easy to replace and come in a pack of two . All can be ordered on Amazon and they have the best price . A must have for any guy who shaves his head everyday like my hubby and especially if they have sensitive skin !
