Actually Spicy, Surprisingly Addictive, and Great for Quick Protein I’ve tried a lot of meat sticks over the years, and many products labeled “hot & spicy” end up being more wishful thinking than reality. These actually bring some noticeable heat without going overboard, which I appreciated. The spice level feels balanced — enough to wake up your taste buds, but not so intense that it overwhelms the smoky sausage flavor. The texture is one of the better parts for me. They are chewy without being overly tough or greasy, making them easy to grab as a quick snack between meals, on the go, or even as a protein boost during a busy day. The resealable bag is also practical and helps keep everything fresh after opening, especially with a larger 28-ounce package. I also like that they are high protein, low carb, and gluten free, which makes them an easy option if you’re trying to avoid junk snacks or need something more filling than chips or crackers. The flavor has a nice smoked quality with a little kick that builds as you eat more. A couple things to keep in mind: if you’re very sensitive to spicy foods, these may be hotter than expected, especially if you tend to prefer mild snacks. If you like heat these snack sticks deliver! The heat comes from Serrano, jalapeños and red peppers! The Old Wisconsin brand delivers! I like all of the flavors! They are a great protein snack! The texture is good and they are not greasy. They are a great value for the money!

I genuinely love Old Wisconsin sausages, but these were a little too spicy for me. After eating three, my throat and stomach were burning. I can eat one, maybe two, at the most. Other than that, they have the same texture and appearance of the regular sausages.

This is easily one of the best meat snacks on the market, overall. Great smokey taste, noticeable but not overwhelming heat, excellent and satisfying lean meat texture, and a terrific price at $16 for 28 ounces. You might be thinking it sounds good apart from the spice, so maybe the non-spicy Old Wisconsin beef snack sticks sound good... and sadly, you would be wrong. Those are terrible; they're mostly fat. I have a pack of them sitting in my refrigerator right now, and they were the biggest disappointment I've felt since the 1989 Grammy Awards, when Jethro Tull, which isn't even a heavy metal band, won the award for Best Heavy Metal Band over both Metallica and Faith No More. These Hot & Spicy Old Wisconsin (medium heat) beef snack sticks, though, are just awesome. The spice isn't the only difference; these are also made with nice lean meat. Highly recommended!

ALways good, not too spicy.

I usually buy these from Walmart. For anyone that buys these regularly already knows these are vacuum sealed when you pick them up at the store. The one I recived was not. It is a processed product and the date is ok. Nothing green growing. So maybe its ok?

I usually expect a "hot and spicy" label to be misleading since other companies often deliver little to no actual spice, but these are a pleasant surprise. They actually pack a genuine, noticeable heat that builds nicely as you eat them. On top of the authentic spice, they have a great naturally smoked flavor and a satisfying texture. It is a fantastic, high protein snack for when you want a real kick. If you are tired of mild snacks pretending to be spicy, I highly recommend picking a bag up.

It has that delicious spice but its not so overbearing that all you taste is the heat this is a perfect blend of a meat stick and spicy 10 out of 10 I'm already placing a second order
