Scala Women's Visor Hat With Big Brim

Love the large brim. Very soft and comfortable and stylish, too! The Olive color is a great neutral tone that matches all outfits, both sundresses and casual shorts/tees on the beach. Perfect for sun protection, but fashionable. Will be using this summer at Disney!I wear this hat all the time when I'm outdoors. It easily covers my entire face and chest to protect from the sun. I love it's comfortable style and color and it's hot heavy on the front at all. I removed the bow as others suggested and it can be both sporty and pretty with sundresses. Looking forward to ordering another color soon!

Perfect hat for summer time! I work at an outdoor school and am outside 75% of the day. This visor has a brim that is wide enough to provide ample coverage but is not floppy so I still have my peripheral vision. I admittedly have a huge head and it fits perfectly! Able to wear large sunglasses with hat as well

I bought this visor because I was so tired of trying to fit my big head into a "one size fits all" sunhat. This was the perfect purchase. It provides excellent coverage and the velcro closure easily adjusts to any size head. The fabric is a nice linen-looking covering and the band is soft and padded. I removed the bow with a few scissor stitches. Unlike most people, I put my hair OVER the visor because it fits me better that way and it doesn't squish my hair. If you wear it this way, I would advise skipping the sunscreen on your forehead as it will rub off on the band. Having said that, you don't need sunscreen on your forehead with this visor because of its excellent coverage. I'm not sure why it's not in the product description but the label indicates UPF 50.

pros: wide brim, I have a small head but it fits me well. (Pic attached)Cons: I realized that the wider brim doesn't mean better protection. Short brim covers your forehead so does the wide brim but neither would cover the sides of your face so there's no point of getting wider brim visor over shorter one.

First off, I am white. I don't mean I'm Caucasian...I mean I am absurdly white. My mid-winter my skin looks more blue than peach. I was spending Christmas in the Virgin Islands and while super excited, I was nervous about the sun (did I mention that I not only burn easily, but I also get the added bonus of melasma in the form of a mustache? Yeah, that too).Well, I was nervous until I found this puppy. This is the mother of all old-lady visors (full disclosure...I'm 33)! The visor even has side visor. If you're worried about the sun, you know how a 'normal' visor never covers all of your face, wellllll get excited, because this one does. I was in the Virgin Islands for 2 weeks and guess what...NO MUSTACHE. Hallelujah! I never thought that would be possible. Did people give me looks? For sure, but when I'm 50 and don't look like an 80 year old, I'll be getting looks and loving it. If you want to keep the sun off your lovely face, buy this visor. You will enjoy it.Other tips:1. Take off the bow if you're under age 60. Trust me, it updates my favorite visor.2. I got this thing soaking wet, like swimming wet and it was fine. I have every intention of washing it- who would 'spot clean' a visor? That's gross.3. The head part is a little puffy, so it holds water. If you wear it in the ocean keep that in mind...maybe you'll like that.All said, this visor is amazing. I can't wait to order it in more colors.

I fully admit that I bought this visor thinking there was a 90% chance I would return it. You see, I was looking for a visor when I saw the mom wearing this one on Fresh Off the Boat. It was big and ridiculous, but it did have a cute bow in the back. It was inexpensive so I thought "why not try it?" while still being pretty sure I would return it.I've only had it for a day, but I can say with confidence that I absolutely love it. It IS big and ridiculous, but the cute bow in the back helps balance it out. There is really soft padding around the straps so it doesn't hurt your head, and under the bow is Velcro - which is amazing because I have a slightly larger head than most women and elastic or one-size visors often give me headaches.The brim is extra wide and offers really great protection from the sun. I wear glasses and don't always have my prescription sunglasses with me, but with this visor I don't really need them if I'm just at a baseball game or on a walk with the kids.I purchased the visor in black and love it so much that I may buy another color or two.

I bought this in black, hoping it would look less obvious/ dorky but I don't think there is any way to achieve that look in a visor of this 'magnitude'. That said, this is exactly what I wanted to wear driving & walking my dog, for great protection from the sun. To make it look even more dorky, I wear it very low on my head, so that I can get lower/ side face protection. I hate the feel of sunblock, so I wear visors all the time. I immediately removed the bow (5 seconds with a stitch ripper) - as I feel the bow makes it look even more ridiculous. I have many hats & visors - this is of highest quality. It will help save my face, it's comfortable, & doesn't make my head/ hair drip with sweat. It comes in so many colors, hard to imagine that it doesn't come in the other color I would like most - gray. I wear color, but don't like bright colored hats/ visors on my head. I wash visors like this by swishing around in a big bowl of soapy water, rinsing in bowl of water - then let it drip dry. Doesn't beat the visor up & cleans nicely.

So useful, wore it all the time when reading in the sun. The peak is extra large so works very well .comfortable too. I will order another colour as a darker colour would not need washing as often!

I've just received my white visor. Not only is it attractive and well made, it has a Velcro attachment which means it is adjustable and will comfortably fit every shape and size head. At last.

This a replacement for the same one I purchased a couple of years ago. Comfortable and looks great.
