Q: The review says it is 6.5 inches. But also says it is adjustable. What is the maximum height of this product?

It is adjustable in a sense that you can detach the bottom part, which is the white part in the photo. The maximum height when you attach the top (yellow) and the bottom (white) parts is 6.5 inches from the floor to the top where you heels are placed. Initially, I thought it might be too low because other similar products are higher. However, it turned out to be only my unnecessary concern. I can lean forward a little bit very easily, and it really helped. That was what I missed when I tried other similar one. I hope my answer helps.

Q: It shows two colors available for ordering: white and gray. But many people mention the strange orange/yellow, which I don't want.

You're lucky! Back in my day, the yellow was the only available color. *Shakes cane* Seems they've since wised up. I think I'll buy the white version now.

Q: Will this work for kids?

I think the Squatty Potty would work better for younger kids. It's more stable. The advantage to the Morning Smile is that you can easily adjust where you want the foot pieces to be, which is probably more for older users. Also it allows you to stash it away discretely if you don't want it out all the time.

Q: for packing - what are the dimensions once stacked together - length x width x height?

Length 12 inches, Width 6 inches, and with both feet stacked on top of one another 9 inches at the heel. These dimensions are not exact as I did not use a t-square to compensate for the angle when measuring the hight and the width is at its widest point.
