Oh my god, oh my god, where to begin? So, I have this old memory foam mattress. I’m talking before cooking memory foam was a thing. It’s nice. It’s comfortable. But boy is it hot sometimes! It’s also starting to shift, like the top layer of soft foam is pulling away from the edge and you can feel the firmer foam underneath. Despite all of that, I still find it comfortable with the level of squish, especially since I’m a side sleeper and prone to herniated discs. I was in the market for some sort of mattress cover because I went to the allergist and discovered I have a dust mite and dust allergy. I figured a mattress cover would give me some protection from my old mattress while allowing me to wash away new dust. I added this one and another to my wish list, but I didn’t feel like spending that much money and just forgot about it. This bad boy went on sale for a lightning deal! That sealed the deal (pun not intended) as to which one I would buy. I got it and promptly ignored the instructions, tossing it in the wash and then drying it on low heat just in case it decided to melt or do any of the other nonsense that old school mattress covers used to do. I then put it on my bed. Oh my goodness, guys! This thing is so soft. It’s like sleeping on a plush comforter, or on a bed at a swanky hotel. It’s just so comfortable, and somehow it actually made my memory foam mattress less hot! This thing is so good that I literally slept on it one night before my boyfriend bought one for himself. He didn’t even care that it wasn’t on a lightning deal anymore, and he swears he has been sleeping better since getting it. He has your standard spring pillow top mattress, by the way. Apparently his bed used to have a memory foam topper, but it was breaking down. He replaced it with this and nothing else, and he swears it’s even more comfortable now. If you’re on the fence, just buy this thing! Oh, and it doesn’t have any of that plastic nonsense that could melt in the dryer, so feel free to abuse it. And one last thing; my memory foam mattress is a 12 incher that I have to buy sheets with deep pockets for. This thing fits like a dream.

TLDR: comfy, fluffyish, and soft. Not cooling as claimed, minus a star. In Depth: Last summer we spent way too much money on an Aireloom mattress. To protect our purchase we had bought a mattress protector that was basically the equivalent of a baby’s crib mattress topper- plasticy on the bottom with not much stretch to it. For the past year I’ve been telling my husband that I can’t believe our mattress hasn’t broken in yet; it still feels way more firm than what we felt at the store. Well, the other day I took the mattress cover off for cleaning and laid down on the bare mattress to see how it felt. Oh my gosh. It was a completely different mattress. So much more plush and comfortable! The mattress protector had been so tight and un-stretchy, it wasn’t allowing us to enjoy the medium-firmness of our pillow top mattress! I immediately threw it out and went to Amazon to search for a 1-day delivery of a new mattress cover- this time one that would move with the flexibility and plushness of the mattress. This one had excellent reviews and a reasonable price tag, so I went ahead and ordered. Upon arrival the next day, I removed it from the shrink wrap and threw it in the dryer on steam refresh. The little pillow pockets puffed up a bit, and I put it on the bed. It didn’t have any bad smells or issues. It fit my deep sided queen size mattress perfectly. Then came the moment of truth. I laid upon the mattress and was overjoyed- the new cover kept the plushness and firmness of the mattress itself! Now, we have slept on it for about a week. It definitely is NOT cooling like the description claimed, and that is a bummer. But, I haven’t noticed any significant heating either. It seems pretty neutral temperature wise. The best part about this is that I didn’t tell my husband that I had replaced the old mattress cover. I wanted to see if he would notice the difference. Within the first few nights he kept commenting, “this bed is sooo comfy!” And “I love this mattress!” Little did we know that we could have been loving it this much for the past year had we had this mattress cover! Get it for the comfy compliment to your current mattress, not for the cooling, and you’ll be happy. **Update a month later: still loving it! I finally told my husband that I had changed out the mattress cover. His response? “No way... I thought that the mattress had finally broken in! I’ve been sleeping SO MUCH better!” Then he showed me his sleep apnea machine, which keeps a record of how many hours he wears his breathing device each night. In the first week of having the mattress cover, the record showed an increase from 5hrs/night to 7hrs/night average!

I had the best night's sleep in a very long time! This is well made, very padded, and oh, so comfy. The sides go to the edge of the mattress. Pockets are nice and deep. The softness reminded me of a bed I slept in at a major hotel years ago. It was amazing. I washed and dried it before putting it on the bed. It dried quickly. I know you're not supposed to dry these with heat but I used the cotton temp. No shrinking! I never use clothing or blankets, etc. until I wash them as during manufacturing they use chemicals. Need to wash them away! If you're looking for a great mattress pad at a good price, I highly recommend this one.

Fluffy, comfortable and just what I was looking for!

I would not consider this a true topper. The difference is minimal in terms of comfort or support. The plush aspect is superficial at best. The thickness appears fuller than it really is and when compressed it is very thin. Talking less than an inch of any substantial material. Maybe the superficial plushness is all some people need, but for anyone else it is hardly tangible. It will add some superficial loft or fluffy texture to the feel of your mattress as you initially lay on it which is nice and descent for $30 I guess, so maybe I didn’t waste my money, but unless you’re sleeping on floor boards, it does not make a significant difference comfort wise because of how thin it is. As a pad, I would not personally choose this as such because I prefer something less permeable. This material I feel like I’d have to wash fairly regularly, so I put it under another mattress protector. This is also not cooling. If anything it’s slightly warmer. Maybe it could be considered cooler than memory foam I suppose but I find the “cooling” statement misleading (as well as how plush it looks in the official pictures). I’ve searched a lot on Amazon for a nice comfortable mattress topper and what I’ve come to is that unless you want spend big bucks, $200+ (which theoretically could save you money instead of trying and not liking 2 or 3 different off brand toppers), lower your expectations or go to the web and look for more or less name brand or professionally reviewed toppers, i.e., Parachute’s down alternative topper. This product has made me leery of purchasing any mattress toppers on Amazon, even the ‘Amazon recommended’ ones.

Just bought a third after using 2 for a year. Have not had issues with quality/condition of product. No mold as shown in other reviews, and I live in super-humid South Florida. Materials are comfy - soft & breathable. Great quality. Don't expect this to alleviate physical discomfort from a poor quality mattress. Get a memory foam mattress topper for that! This is a mattress PROTECTOR with a soft, super-squishy top layer. The squish/fluff factor reduces with use, but always returns with a wash and tumble dry. That is not a defect or deficiency. Again, if you want something that springs back to shape, get a memory foam mattress topper. I bought twin size. I clean them weekly in my apartment sized washer/dryer. Using an aggressive power wash setting and an hour of timed drying, they hold up perfectly with no damage whatsoever. It is thick, so I need to remove and fluff it partway through drying to fully dry it - again consider that I use a small sized dryer, so that is to be expected. The deep wraparound pockets will fit any thickness of mattress. Not once have I had issues with them shifting or coming off during use.

I used to feel my bed springs but not anymore! Other than that it doesn’t do a whole lot. If you want your bed to feel like a real pillow top your better off buying a $300+ model

This topper is brilliant I am super hot in bed this top is so cool and lovey to lay on ,totally recommend this to any one who sleeps hot .ladies you won’t be sorry this is a game changer

I gave this product 2 stars only because it came when promised and is made of good fabric. I don’t know if it is water resistant. It does not add or detract from the comfort of my bed. I don’t really notice a difference. The same goes for the cooling effect. No difference. I bought it to provide a softer, cooler surface upon which to sleep. I am disappointed that I experienced neither.

Amazing comfort, this cover is very thich and the size is generous. We have a thick matteress and this covered the mattress with no proble. The stiching was strong and each individual pocket keeps the filling from bunching and sliding. Note: you will need a large washing maching, and dry on fluff.
