XFX Speedster MERC310 7900XT
Purchased and installed 7900XT and have a few thoughts on it! 1. Length - The card is LONG. Other reviews have addressed this but you'll have to physically handle this card to understand how long it is. Coming from a 3070 that fit perfectly into my case (Corsair 4000D), I thought this card should fit quite well considering it's only about 1.7 inches long, however, the card almost touches the front fans. If you want to use the included support bar, you may have to make space for that. 2. Cooling - The card runs very cool. I've Baldur's Gate and Cyberpunk in max settings and the card has not reached temperatures over 69 C. It can be a bit loud considering XFX has a really aggressive fan curve on the card and if noise is a concern for you, it should be a quick fix by changing the curve. Noise isn't too concerning for me since I wear headphones most of the time so I have not messed with the fan speeds. 3.) Performance - My rig has 5700x3d, Corsair LPX 32GB @ 3600 MHz ram and I'm getting 98-112 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 with settings set to Ultra (no RT), 132 FPS in Baldur's Gate, a billion FPS in games like Overwatch and LoL, 152 FPS in Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West all in 1440p. So the card has some serious performance! 4.) Aesthetics - Not a big deal for me but the card does look great. Love the backplate. Build quality is super solid with some hefty weight on the card. Overall, I'm very pleased with 7900XT. I had some issues with the card's performance after the install but they've since been fixed by updating drivers. Would highly recommend the XFX 7900XT if you're in the market!

I returned the 5070 TI
I returned the 5070 TI because of how aweful DLSS technology actually is for high end gaming. You know how when you look through a bubble, you see through it but there's a strange layer of distortion that just nags you, it's there and shows up every other moment. That's how I describe AI upscaling. It's either artifacts, ghosting, or latency, it's always something. The transformer in the new 5000 series doesn't help because you have to enable it at 3X frame generation. If it were used in 1X, that would be way better but it doesn't work that way. I'm done with upscaling! And thats leads me to my story. When I purchased the AMD card, I noticed something important. AMD includes custom resolutions out of the box. I'm talking about 1200p, 1732p, 1800p. These are resolutions you can choose in game, that run lower than the main resolution of your monitor, but that hardly looks different than running at full scale. I'm being honest, there's already debate between how much 4K improves on 1440p, and I can tell you that running at 1732p or 1800p makes that difference even harder to spot. Yet I get plenty of FPS back by using those resolutions. Now here's the kicker, the Nvidia card does not include those resolutions in the driver, but even worst, trying to manually create those resolutions FAIL using Nvidia's driver software. Now, I have a modern monitor, 4K QD OLED, so I don't know if its poor support for modern monitors by Nvidia, or they just don't want to gamers to use those resolutions --- because that would make DLSS irrelevant!! I'm not lying to you, I'm so loving my 9070 XT using classic Temporal AA with none of the issues that come with fake frames running at resolution between 1440p and 4K, and it runs so smooth. At a few feet away on my desk, you really can't tell that anything is being compromised in terms of excellent gaming experience! I've shared this online, and I've gotten mocked that I'm not supposed to run these resolutions which are not native to my monitor. But the first thing I ask them to do is try to create them with their Nvidia cards, I know they can't. If you buy an AMD card, I ask you try either 1200p, 1732p or 1800p and see if the GPU doesn't run at really good FPS while hardly looking any different at the native resolution.

Works like a champ, a nice.... cool champ.
I'll update this review when I'm home to take a few photos. But as of right now, this card is working just as good as can be expected. First things first. Yes, the 7900xtx performs better. Yes, for only 100$ it is the better buy. But that is if you can find one for ONLY 100$ more. I bought this gpu when it was 800$, so that makes the xtx version 200$ more. To me, that simply isnt worth it. But again, im just putting this info out there. Also, as of right now, I have an 850 watt psu, and the xtx recommends at minimum a 850, and when it comes to a psu, id rather not push it to the limit, even though I have a good seasonic platinum psu. Anyway, moving on .... This gpu is also .... quite large. So make sure you have an appropriate pc case. I have the 4000D and with three 120mm fans in the front of the case, I was JUUUUUST able to fit this card. The gpu does come with a brace, but I was not able to attach that, as it made the card an inch too long. I would recommend a brace / bracket/ support for this gpu as it is large and heavy. I'm just using a simple one I found on Amazon and works for what I need. Granted, each motherboard is different, as some have better reinforced pcie slots. Anyway, onto the performance of this card. Under graphically intense games like CyberPunk, Dead Island 2, and similar games. I'm able to get a solid 110fps+ on cyberpunk, and 160+ on dead island 2, at 2k max settings. A card like this is obviously overkill on older games and mobas, but it works flawlessly. Enough about the fps, it will handle any game at max settings at 1080p, and definitely 100+fps at 2k max or damn close max settings. Under heavy load it's hotspot temps hit around 74c, and gpu temp around 55c. I also use a custom fan curve so these results are going to differ pc to pc, and how much airflow you have... etc etc. But the card does hold up well for its temps given my fan curve which is fairly subtle. I basically run the fans on the gpu at 30% at all times, ramping up to 50% while gaming. Also at 50%, I can tell you, at least in my case, the fans are fairly loud. Again, that will be subjective. But to me, they are a tad on the loud side. All in all this is a great card, and if you made it this far, hopefully I helped answer some questions.

Best gpu ever
Love it, not loud, it performs great, it’s not invidia, it looks amazing, and it’s almost always below msrp! No glaze no sponsorship I just genuinely love my purchase

Good Card lots of VRAM and and FAST chip.
Good Card Be ready for it to be LONG! make sure it will fit. I planned a build around the card knowing it was long AF! not a fan of the support bracket design, strong yes but it takes up a lot of space on a already long card. Was a good sweet spot for price to performance. I can now sell it for more than I paid for it new.

It's a huge graphics and powerful card
What can I say, I love it!!! It runs smooth and no issues. All games play excellent without lag and stay cool too. Glad I got when I could cause the process sky rocket the next day. So far xfx has not disappoint me. I'm loyal amd user.

7900XT Ultra - Incredible Value for Performance
Beast of card for the price. Love how it includes a support arm that screws into the end of it for stability I’ve never seen in previous cards I’ve owned (last two were a 980ti and 2080 super). Have owned an XFX manufactured AMD card in the past, and while they were good then, they’ve outdone themselves with this one.Great craftsmanship, sleek looks, and she runs very cool compared to my NVIDIA cards (50-60° while gaming on stock card settings). A bit noisier than previous cards, but I don’t really hear it from under my desk if my headset is off. Benchmarks speak for themselves and can be found anywhere, but I’m going to note anyways that it crushes everything I play at max settings 1440p resolution @ 60hz (most games I cap at 85fps to allow for dips, but it’s very stable/steady). I’m fairly certain most of my games are CPU bottlenecked now thanks to how powerful this thing is for my needs.

Honestly a great GPU
This GPU looks and feels great! Highly recommend this one! 750 watts is enough, supersilent fans and just looks so clean. Can never go wrong with an XFX!

Great GPU. Powerful and great value!
Great GPU! I ran 4k on all games on ultra and did above 100 FPS in everything. Large card! Check your case before ordering! I am returning this card but not because of any real issue but because I noticed that some new AAA games actually use 19 GB of VRAM on 4k ultra settings (Indiana Jones is an example). I want to run my games native on 4K so this is a non issue if you compromise and go 1440P. So I am getting the 7900 XTX instead just to get those extra 4 GB to give myself wiggle room for future heavy titles. I do not want to get a future game in 2 years and see that 20GB VRAM is the limiting factor and regretting not changing while I still could. BUT if you game 1440P or you are willing to do 1440P on the most heavy titles, get this card. It is more than enough and will run all games with no large issues.

Great GFX card ! xfx rx 7900 xt 20 gb
This card is very large and heavy, though the bracket for its weight is well constructed and does not in any way put weight on the pcie slot, it focuses the weight on the fitting slot bracket, the chassi part where the card is screwed into 2 slots. it is a 3 1/2 slot or 4 slot size ( 4 for air to flow freely). the card is solidly built and it is a metal made beast, only small beauty designs and fans are plastic. my old card was a gtx 1080 and this card is around the same price that the "high end gtx1080" was at 2016 (no card nvidia released has the retail price, ever. add 10-25% usually) . I play everything on high or max settings on an ultrawide 3440*1440 screen, with a separate 4k screen running some movie or a stream meanwhile. The card is silent when it is not running something very demanding. I can max out, for example "the outer worlds" and play without any fan sound, but sometimes when the fan ramps up, it does sound abit loud. about ps5 levels of fan noice. Most games does not make the card work hard, so its silent most of the time. witcher 3 is maxed out, without the hair stuff. but if i do the nvidia hair flow tech with raytracing, the fans do go crazy. I do have a good airflow setup in the pc so im not an average user, and nothing is premade, its all shelf picking items. I plan to play on a 4k tv with a controller setup and i do not think there will be any problem, all kinds of inputs are supported and the inputs are newer tech, dpi/hdmi, the 2,1 versions. I do not regret my purchase, it was a good price and the box came in a larger outer box so the card was well packed and arrived with good packaged contents. there is no unboxing or reveals, its a large gpu card in a box in some foam insert. they clearly focused effort on the product and not its packaging, very good priority there. the card has a higher than ordinary watt usage acording to reviews, however i have not come close to those power draw numbers using AMDS adrenaline software to monitor fps/watt/memory in any "game running stats." I have not overclocked or tinkered since i have already reached my satisfaction in my 3440*1440 gaming needs, on the cards vanilla setup. should my future 4k tv gaming need more performance, i will read up on overclocking, but i doubt it will be needed. the most graphical intensive games i have tested is witcher 3/gtav/ashes of singularity/homeworld deserts of karakh. happy with my investment in this gpu. i bored of nvidias overpriced products. Also, i do play on a screen that has g-sync. so the card does not support the smonitor fully. nvidias gsync is a nvidia tech. all freesync and freesync 2 monitors and tvs should work better. a big reason why i intend to play on a 4k tv in the future, is to benefit from the freesync support from AMD. i got this card for about 8800 sek, or 880 $ or 800 euro. so take that price into the consideration in my review.
