Joined my layflat hose perfectly
Purchase so that I could join 2x 10m Layflat yellow hoses from Screwfix. Nice gradiated fit and a hose clip on each side made for a great 1.25 inch water tight connection. The connector is nice and chunky too, feels like ABS, but importantly this means you can get a few good tight turns on your jubilee clip if you need that extra security. Worked great with my 400W submersible pump to empty a 1500 litre hot tub in around 15 minutes.

Plumber's tape is a good backup
A perfect fit for my hose, I did use plumber's tape and therefore no leaks. I don't think I needed the plumber's tape but a good reasurance.
