Ii was kind of surprised these are as sturdy as they are. They're so affordable I thought they might feel more disposable but no. I think they'll be useful for a very long time.

Perfect for catering

These are handy and affordable to have on hand for parties. Their basic lines are clean and classic for table settings. If you take notice of the design, there aren't any hinges or springs so the only resistance comes from the fact that these are basically one strip of metal that is bent in a "U" shape. For that reason, depending on the thickness of what you're using them for, they don't always fully spring back open and you often have to manually spread them wider again. They work great for buffet servings of meats, crudité or cooked veggies, slices or cubes of fruit, sushi, dumplings (dim sum) etc. For other "looser" things (noodles, fresh herbs, kim-chee) they don't work as well. For the price tho, I have no regrets. I've washed these in the dishwasher about 10 times now and they've held up well.

Convenient to have for a park gathering with a big group. The tongs work well for lighter foods like fruit, salad and snacks, but a little too small and thinner for heavier items. After the party, the tongs wash OK but show sign of wear and tear already. Overall, they are good enough for occasional needs, particularly considering the pricing point.
