Good quality brush. Belly holds a lot of paint and the tip holds a good point.

Princeton is synonymous with quality
Great brush for watercoloring, I ended up buying a couple more in different sizes to do the detailing on my loose florals. The weight is well balanced and the handle is smooth. Velvetouch brushes are high quality brushes made with synthetic hairs, an alternative to animal hair options. The brushes have some spring, some snap in comparison to my animal hair brushes like my Silver brushes. It's nice to have both options and you can because they are very affordable.

LOVE Velvetouch! Arrived in Terrible Condition!
The high rating is based on my personal watercolor experience using the Princeton Velvetouch round brushes in sizes 8 and 10. They're beautiful, hold a good amount of water, and the texture of the handles are out of this world. They're ideal when I need something with a sharp point and a lot of snap, perfect for stems and leaves, and the complex buds that can't be achieved with something like my Black Velvet brushes or Aqua Elite. So, Velvetouch brushes are DEFINITE staples in my brush arsenal! (Yes, they're also classified as "acrylic" brushes. But I wouldn't have the heart to even apply them to anything other than watercolor or, at the very most, lettering.) My NEGATIVE review is based entirely on the condition of THIS brush. It arrived used and terribly damaged. There wasn't a cap, the bristles were bent, and it had been tossed into the bag with zero protection - no protective cap, nothing to keep it secure, and before that thoroughly used and abused. If a paintbrush could look sad, this would be the example. : (
