Hammerite Direct to Rust Metal Paint - Smooth Black Finish 750ML

Used this Hammerite Direct to Rust paint on some metal fence railings and it worked brilliantly. The smooth black finish looks clean and professional, and it went on easily with no need for a separate primer. Coverage was solid, even on older metal, and it dried to a tough, even coat. It’s ideal for outdoor jobs, weather-resistant and designed to last. I’ve used other metal paints before, but this one really stands out for ease of use and finish quality. No flaking, no fuss, just a reliable result. If you’re tackling gates, railings, or any exposed metalwork, this is a great choice. One tin went further than expected too, which was a bonus.

Best metal paint around goes over rust no problem this paint is expensive but worth every penny I always buy it cos I know it does the job well

Bought to touch up rusty bits on my old defender. Applied well, dried well and good finish from just a brush.

Just used this on my line post it looks so much better now it’s not rusty looking. No leaks. Gives very good coverage still got a lot left

There are 'cheaper' brands on the market including ones from LIDL, but Hammerite is and always will be the best. I personally proved this on two pieces of metal that were starting to rust. After two years, the non Hammerite make failed and rust started to show through, but not with the Hammerite make.

Can’t believe the price compared to other retail outlets.750 ml tin for just over £20 The product saves a lot of time in preparation of metal just pain over the rust area’s or you can paint onto none treated metal & it protects against future rusting

Very very bad product supplied to me , seems to be diluted externally( density very low). Colour is not black at all ( Its brown). Materials supplied in plastic open can instead of sealed tin can shown in AMAZON.

Nice and heavy paint over shadows the rust and covers it entirely.
