These padded shorts are great in keeping you protected from falls while rollerblading. I specifically bought them for my son who was learning to rollerblade. they are thick so they do protect you from fall. He likes that they are comfortable as well, the only downside is that in the summer they will make you hot because of the thick padding. They are easy to throw in the washer as well, they have not been damaged at all.

Perfect for the price. The fit is great and the shape contours to the body nicely — not too tight and not too loose. It provides good protection for the hips and tailbone while still being breathable and comfortable to wear. Great value for money!

Saved me a few times. Work quite well. If you’re expecting pain to be non existent this isn’t how these work but the suppress the fall for sure. Only issue is fitment feels off but manageable

I ordered these shorts about a year and a half ago and have now Snow boarded with them for two seasons. I put them on over my thermals and pull them up so my tailbone is covered. It may look and feel ridiculous at first and my riding buddies laughed at me but once you put your pants or bib on, you, can’t see them. But I tell you what they have been a game changer for me. These will give you more confidence and be much less afraid to fall on your butt or even just sit down in the snow to strap in. I have taken several falls that would have knocked the wind out of me and Possibly make me take a break, but have always been able to get right back up afterwards. So yes, the padding is very protective especially when pulled up over your tailbone. They’re not really all that breathable and I just make sure I wash them every night after riding and hang dry overnight.

runs large, i would size 2 sizes down. i tried to order based on size chart and the one i got for a teen ended up fitting an adult man, and the one i got for the adult man was entirely too large.

These hip protection pads worked really well while I was learning how to ski. When you’re starting out you’re bound to fall a few times, and these definitely helped soften the impact. They gave me a lot more confidence because I wasn’t as worried about landing hard on my hips. They’re comfortable to wear under ski pants and don’t feel too bulky or restrictive. After a few runs I honestly forgot I was even wearing them. The padding seems well placed and does a good job absorbing the shock from falls. If you’re new to skiing or snowboarding, I’d definitely recommend something like this. It makes the learning process a lot less painful and lets you focus more on improving instead of worrying about falling.

I bought these to prevent the hip soreness and bruising I have experienced after falls while ice skating. I recently fell on my bottom with these on and the dense protective foam did its job and prevented both. It's not to say I did not feel the impact. I just didn't get the hip soreness or bruising. As far as fit is concerned I am a 5 ft 11 in 200 lb man with a 40 in waist. I purchased the 3xl and wear them under my pants. The fit at the waist is fine. There is some bagginess in the bottom but not so much that it bothers me when I move. These are so much less cumbersome than the budget hockey pants I tried on. I recommend them for recreational ice skating.

These were fine for my first trip to the mountaim snowboarding. I was comfy, and it provided protection , they were also reasonably priced. If youre advanced and attempting mad stuff, possibly they would be less appropriate but I cannot speak for that.
