You cannot take apart, but it folds almost flat to about five or six inches.

I am an occupational therapist. I have used the Carex brand for years and I would think that wheels could be added and may be available through Carex. However, wheels may make this device unsafe for a person that only has use of one arm.

It fits through doorways very good

Would 1” wheels for a Walker fit into the bottoms of this Walker?

I would not advise retro fitting this type of walker with wheels as it is meant to provide stability while taking steps
