Will I be able to use this on crystal tacks?

I dont know. I would suggest using a padding over tacks to minimize chance of damage.

Is the face truly flat? The photos aren't clear and it appears it could be a smidge rounded.

The face is flat but the edges are rounded

What's the diameter of the solid end?

The striking surface is rectangular: 7/16" x 3/8"

Can I get a replacement handle?

don't know but it may be just as cheap to buy a new one. if I had yo guess I would say no. if it's still under warranty contact the seller for replacement.
