Is the plastic case airtight?

It is not airtight, however I have left paint on the palette for 5 days and it was still wet enough to paint with.

Water doesn’t get through the paper at all. Am I doing something wrong? I feel this will go in the trash. $10 down the drain!

Pour the water in the tub with the sponge first, then place the paper over the sponge ( my paper wants to curl so I use a penny on each corner to hold it flat). This allows the paper to remain damp with your paints on the top. this will keep the paints damp without making them runny, Although they will dry out if spread thin on the paper they can be restored with the addition of some water to the paints. This is a lower priced version of better sealed wet palettes but I have had mine keep paint usable for as much as 3 weeks between uses.

the water will get through the paper it is just really slow, as the water in the paint evaporates it will pull some up through the paper. the paint will be usable for a day or two as long as the lid gets put back on properly, hope this helps

Buena opción precio accesible a cambio de 100 papeles

Muy buen tamaño la esponja tiene un aroma un poco incómodo a fomi, comparado con otras paletas disponibles es un gran cambio de tamaño para bien, en mi caso me llegó incompleta solo con 1 esponja, sin embargo por el tamaño precio mas 100 hojas es la mejor opcion

Nice sized and really great membrane.

I have a much larger 'artists' palette' but it's so big that it's too cumbersome to use decently. Takes up too much room on the desk, the sponge is iffy and the thing gets dirty and moldy quickly. THIS unit does none of those things. The sponge is high quality as are the membrane sheets. It seals well and keeps paint very fresh and is a much better size not taking up so much space on the desk. Highly recommended.
