Used in a 2024 VW Jetta. Not sure if it's a VW thing or a cheap Chinese OBD to USB adapter thing, but when it was plugged in, my keyless entry wouldn't work and the remote start app would report an issue and it wouldn't start. I'm not an expert, but something in the cheap circuitry of this device was not playing nice with the VW computer. It did provide power for my dashcam though, so that's good I guess.

Using on a Garmin 47, and works just fine in my 2021 Ram 2500 Diesel. Would buy again.

It works fine, I think, for most dash cam. But my dash cam is Vantrue E2. It has both the front and the rear camera. So in the cold, but sometime in late spring, my dash cam Vantrue E2 keeps rebooting after running several minutes. The reboot problem immediately stops when I switch the power supply with the one that came with Vantrue E2. So this OBD2 USB does power Vantrue E2 95% of the time without issue. But the other 5% it does not. Switching the power supply to Vantrue power supply for sometime and switching it back to the OBD USB power supply seems to resolve it. So I believe the issue is that the OBD USB device does not give sufficient power. I wish I can return it or replace it with something else. The on/off button is the feature I look up the most.

I run a type S dash and back up camera from this plug, with a USB splitter hidden away under my steering wheel. If youre planning to hard wire something this is hands down the easiest way

Must have with your teen dash cam to make sure don't miss unfortunate events, having the camera powered all time from your OBD 2 plug.

Have to change my Review from 5 to 1 after it completely stops working, the press button does not change from on to off or the other way, just after 7 months after installation. Got this to power a Dashcam on a 2014 Murano and still have the 12V socket available and best hide the wires, This product works flawless!. easy to install and the on off switch is a pleasant plus! I definitely recommend this product.

Use this plug to power my dash cam. Works great instead of trying to fish the power cable around the underside of the dash.

I can’t say much for lasting quality or anything. It appears to be decently built. What I like is that it has a switch, and OBD2 ports on vehicles have a constant power with the key off. This adapter allows for USB devices to have power uninterrupted by turning of the key. This is a great solution for what I need.
