Supreme Science Selective Guinea Pig Food 3kg

Pricer than some other foods, but certainly worth the quality. I switched my pigs to nuggets a just over a year ago and have not only found less food waste - as they don't pick and choose like with mixed grains - but they seem healthier overall. Dust content isn't too high. It smells lovely - like a earthy porridge - and judging by how fussy my boys usually are - it tastes pretty good too. At the current price of just over £10 for a 3kg bag, it's a fairly good deal. Certainly will be keeping my guinea pigs on this for the foreseeable future.

The guineas love this stuff, I’ve been mixing it with their other food in order to get them on to this - their previous food was much more expensive but had the exact same ingredients.The pigs seem to like these pellets so they must taste ok - I haven’t tried them so I’ll have to take their word for it. They’re small so I find that they nibble them easier and with less dust left in the bottom of the bowl like their previous food. The pellets seem quite durable in the sense that they don’t immediately turn to dust and the bag they arrive in is sturdy too. The best about them - they’re relatively odourless so don’t stink the house out 😄

The piggies love this. We use this daily for them, it’s a bargain for the size bag you get and cheaper than going to your local PAT the piggies seem to get all the nutrition they need, and it keeps them rather large and healthy ! They seem to love the taste !

My guinea pigs love this dry food.Had to cancel my subscription though as delivery DPD let me down.I will buy elsewhere.

I own seven guinea pigs, in two separate (large) runs indoors. I leave 2-3 bowls of this down and refill it each day as needed. They get fresh hay daily as my sows in particular go through it incredibly quick, and they get a good portion of veggies a few times throughout the week, rather than daily because I have found that this helps keep their vitamin C levels under control (therefore no chalky wee!) and this diet also means I have never had a sick piggy, or a guinea pig with an upset tummy.My sows have been on science selective from before I even owned them - but my two boars came to me on a different food. Their previous food looked great - a bit like muesli, but the problem is, they'd pick out their favourite bits (not necessarily the healthiest) and leave the rest. Science selective gives them no choice but to eat what they are given - so there's no wastage, especially as all seven of my guinea pigs are brilliant eaters. One of my boars was very fussy when I first got them and had started to slowly switch them over to science selective - now he eats perfectly.I love this food for my guinea pigs and will always use this for them now. I highly recommend it, it may take them a week or two to get into it if they're switching from something else but try it out. I'm in a few guinea pig forums and it's a favourite amongst piggy owners.I buy the 10kg because it's a big sack full, lasts my seven guinea pigs a long time & works out considerably cheaper in the long run if you have somewhere to store it.

Piggies love this it’s a very good high quality food for them plus it doesn’t smell as bad as others can full of nutritional benefits and great value for money.
