WORX WX681 F50 400W Sonicrafter - great quality tool and a good price
Ordered this after doing some research, I was unfamiliar with the WORX brand, but had seen positive feedback online about the 'newer' WORX tools and this is the more powerful of 2 Sonicrafters from WORX. One of the main reasons for ordering this tool was the universal blade fitting system, it uses a long screw which you put slack into from the top of the cutter and then slide in a blade if it is open sided, then screw tight the screw clamping the blade tight in place and lock the screw in place with the 'hyperlock' handle. This system works well and does clamp the blade securely in place. I used it to cut a channel in plasterboard for electrical cabling. I had already used an angle grinder to partially cut the channel, as you may know the only problem with this is that it kicks out so much dust. I used the Sonicrafter to finish off the channeling and cut some more as well, it was a joy to use, no dust, accurate cutting which due to the tool size is very easy to control, the LED lights aren't the brightest but still helpful. You only get one 'circular' type blade, one straight blade and a footplate for the velcro sanding pads (included), the case it comes with is basic but ok and the so called instructions are useless if you want to understand how to use the tool and the different speed settings effectively. The tool is easy to hold and does not transmit the vibration of the blade to the tool, as others have said it does eat blades but i don't know if that is down to the power of the tool or the quality of the blade that came with it. I have also used it to cut some kitchen cabinet and had to ensure i did not cut too far as i would have ended up with an eyesore. The Sonicrafter worked well and allowed me to cut with ease and accuracy and no damage, i also ordered some more aftermarket circular blades. Now to get a cordless drill - the WORX powerful one looks tempting as it throws out a good amount of power.

Excellent tool good quality and a nice case. My go to tool.
I undertook a fair bit of research before buying this, most of my other tools are Bosch which have always served me well however the Bosch (DIY grade) multi-tool had poor reviews so i needed to branch out. Ive not been disappointed so far and, as many others have said, Im not sure how i ever coped without it. I purchased the F50 which comes in a really smart, quality box thats big enough for the tool itself and quite a few attachments. It comes with 2 blades and a sanding attachment (with loads of varied grade sanding paper which is where the 39 accessories are made up). The tool itself feels excellent quality, compact and easy to hold. The variable speed is very useful and at full bore it feels very powerful. The quick release mechanism is easy to use and fast to change blades. I bought a saxton assorted case of additional tools but didnt buy the quick release type (you need the horseshoe shape rather than the hole), they still fit into the Sonicrafter but it takes longer to change the blades. Infact the tool will accept almost any make blade which is great. Ive so far used it to sand and to cut out floorboards very cleanly, the latter job would have required a crowbar and lots of splintered floorboards without this tool. I can see this will be my go to tool for DIY from now on. Update: Nov16. Thought I would add to this review as I've now used it for several more jobs. Its still excellent and I now could not do without it. I've used it to chase out walls for cables which is far more delicate than a power drill with a chisel attachment (great if your chasing out internal walls that are only 1 brick thick - the chisel on the power drill would likely break through to other side). Using the semicircle masonry attachment (bought separately) you can cut a perfect neat line either side of your chase and then quickly chisel out the channel. I have also used it to speed up cutting out socket boxes in both masonry and plasterboard and to cut the end off thick steel bolts. You definitely need to buy a a selection of attachments to go with this to get the best from it.

Instructions poor but power and quality excellent
Does what I ask it to. I have the 400W tool and it cuts through brick, plaster and wood effortlessly and accurately. The instruction are poor though. When you get it there will be a cap on the end. You need to unwind the tool to push it off. Then putting cutters onto the tool is easy. You unwind to loosen and wind to tighten. You must use the included screw. Nice tool.

A must have tool for the DIYer...
After watching the guys who put in my windows use a similar tool I decided to buy one on the basis that it was virtually a 'one stop tool' that could perform a huge range of cutting and sanding jobs - providing you buy a decent accessories kit alongside it, because as another reviewer has pointed out, 36 of the accessories with this base model are in fact sanding pads. However, using this as the base tool + a decent accessories kit, what this tool gives you is an extremely flexible tool that you can use on a huge range of jobs about the house. The locking mechanism that clamps the tools to the base is very easy to use, which makes changing accessories very quick and you can use a range of other manufacturers accessories as there is a conversion pin included in the kit. All of this comes in a robust carry case. It's a brilliant piece of kit that deserves five stars, however, I do have a couple of complaints; I would have preferred a carry case where the tool and accessories were held in place - although the case it comes with is adequate, and whoever wrote the instruction book must have attended the minimalist school of instruction book writing as it is next to useless. That said, great basic set to start out your oscillating collection.
