Works as advertised on an old imac 13,1 from 2012! now this imac is very usable in 2026 with a ssd and 16gb of ram, and OCLP for a modern IOS. Installation is on the difficult side, the screen needs to be cut out and removed to get to the inside where you need to remove the motherboard and place the ram in their appropriate dimm slots. Gave my macbook pro mid 2012 a new lease of life !
I upgraded my old macbook pro from 8 to 16 GB . Works perfect . As I had already installed a Crucial SSD , this macbook pro is now running at par if not better than the later macbook pros which have limitations to upgrade from 8 to 16 GB ( solderd on ram) . With the extra ram , I can run several virtual machines on my macbook pro hacking and penetration classes , without worry about ram allocation for the various virtual machines . The price was also 30 % cheaper than what i had been offered by a reseller . Thank you !
