bristles a little hard but fairly good

Great fan brushes
I am a watercolor artist and had one of these brushes for years! It finally died on me and I have been searching everywhere for it. I was so happy to find it on amazon. I will now be able to continue to paint evergreen trees as usual.

Too thin
Hard to tell from picture how thin the brush is. Did not approve after using the genuine Amaco or Mayco glazing brushes.

irregular and messy bristles, found better at dollar store
i am disappointed in this brush which i bought to use for texture in watercolor and acrylic. i know taklon is stiff but the bristles in this fan brush are irregular and messy, wet or dry. i guess that does add more texture but it's not quite the look i was going for. i happened upon an entire fan brush set at ross for less money than this one and i prefer them by far. i am keeping this royal brush to use for projects when i need a brush that can be abused or working with rough materials.
