I've been experimenting with growing sprouts on and off for a few years. I really like them and buying them from the store for salads on a weekly basis adds up. I am an extremely busy adult. I've always worked and attended school in full time status for each as I have built my career. I recent years, I have been pushing myself to focus more on my health which has just added on more to do in my life, but it has also been rewarding. This kits will help a lot with that journey given I am trying to make everything as easy as possible. Pictured is my first batch of sprouts I just finished. I soaked the seeds for about 8 hours while I slept right in the jar, then drained the water and let them sit with the cover for about 4 days with twice a day watering - where I would fill the jar with cool water, swish it around, and drain it. I took the cover off the last 3 days to let the sprouts take on some sun and continued the watering routine. Pros/Cons: PROS - Convenient - doesn't take a lot of time to manage and get good results. - Takes up very limited space. - Can grow any type of sprout to my knowledge. - The double jar style allows for storage of sprouts being actively harvested while working in the next batch. CONS This is a nit picky thing: The seed castings have to be dealt with if you don't want them mixed up in the sprouts while eating them. My solution is (sometime between day 4 and 7) to put the batch in a deep bowl filled with cool water, agitate it a little, and let some shell castings fall to the bottom and some will float to the top. Skim the ones off the top - many will adhere to the sides, so I would take a spoon and spin the bowl to push the castings into the spoon. A few rounds of that took care of many of them. Afterwards, scoop the sprouts out of the water taking care not to stir up the castings on the bottom. I put them back into the jar to continue thier growth. Overall, this is a good product if you can dedicate the very little time it takes to tend to the sprouts growth. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save some money over time.

I really liked this Kitmiido seed sprouting kit and it was offered at a fraction of the cost of the bar brand sprouting kit. This kit was comprehensive and included two mason jars with screens and lids. It also included an angled base to sit the mason jars on for proper drainage. It also came with black out sleeves that fit perfectly over the mason jars. The jars were also flat making the drainage the ideal angle to avoid fungus or over wetness in your sprouting jar. The sprouting kit would also be great for a classroom or gift to a kid, or for anyone who wants to start planting at home. Sprouting is the easiest way to grow edible food quickly at home, and we bought some 10 pound cans of seeds and an extra kit for our emergency planning. The sprouting kit is stylish, with a lime green lid and was stable and sturdy on the counter and doesn’t rock or tilt over. The sleeving material is thick, stretchy, and blacks out light to promote growth. Overall, this kit was perfect and I recommend!

Here’s the revised version with the seed detail corrected: I absolutely love this Kitmiido Seed Sprouting Kit. Everything is very well designed, and the setup is super easy, even if you’ve never grown sprouts or microgreens before. The jars, blackout sleeves, drain tray, and stand all work perfectly together and make the whole process clean and simple. Just note that seeds are NOT included, so you’ll need to purchase those separately. Once I got my seeds, the sprouts grew fast and produced a surprisingly large amount. Fresh broccoli and alfalfa sprouts right at home for a fraction of the cost at the store. One thing I learned the hard way: you really do need to rinse/flush them twice a day. I forgot a couple of times, and my batch didn’t turn out nearly as well. Once I stayed consistent, the sprouts came out amazing. If you follow the instructions and rinse regularly, you’ll have tons of fresh sprouts and microgreens in no time. Easy peasy to use, very affordable, great quality, and highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect for sprouting broccoli seeds. The jars are just the right size, and the stand is perfect for holding them.

I've been using this for a few months. The instructions that came with the jars was not very helpful. They don't specify when to use the jar covers, or when to take them off. I had to do an AI search to get good directions. Once I figured out the timeline, it was fairly simple to fill the jar with yummy sprouts. AI also provided a timeline to keep the two jars going to have endless sprouts. I found, for my spouse and it's best for me to make a jar and then start another once that gets low or runs out. Granted we then do not have sprouts every day, but for us, sometimes we are not into sprout favored dishes every day, so it works. For me, one jar would have worked. Related to the level of effort in being your own sprout farmer, I found the seed casing rinsing the most time consuming. Again, AI to the rescue with ideas for that - it's not a salad spinner, although that does help. I gave it 4 stars for lack of comprehensive instructions and flimsy plasic bottom container. I like that the mesh lid. It holds the seeds in and allows ample water drainage. The plastic tray is not very sturdy. I put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, do NOT do that. I now have to scrounge around for a container to fit that metal jar holder in as the original plastic one got ruined right out of the gate. It's not a standard size. Overall, I say if you want to add sprouts to your life, this a great gateway sprout farmer product. Happy growing!

I have been loving this. It is easy to use and my sprouts are coming out wonderful. I have been doing lentils and chickpeas lately. I took a picture of what was left after I ate a bowl full for dinner.

this is a very nicely packaged spout system that looks fine on your counter. its very easy to use and i was shocked at how fast the sprouts grew, very clean too.

Avant j'utilisais des bocaux Mason avec un coton à fromage (étamine) attaché sur le dessus. Le tissu restait toujours trop humide, pas moyen de bien égoutter mes graines et je les perdais. C'était vraiment frustrant. Cette fois, j'ai tellement bien réussi et si facilement! Je recommande vivement cet équipement qui ne coûte pas si cher comparé à d'autres qui semblent moins pratiques (d'après les commentaires que j'ai lus).

Simple sprouting jars that does the job well. Sturdy lids and mesh covers make rinsing and draining effortless. Neoprene covers are well made and fit snugly over the jars

Ces bocaux de germination vont très bien bon développement des germes de soja.

Son como en la foto. 2 botes de cristal con una tapa de rosca con rejilla, una bandeja para recoger el agua escurrida y un soporte de metal para mantener inclinados los botes. Como la bandeja blanca recoge agua, hay que vaciarla y limpiarla cada día para que no se desarrollen bacterias. También incluye unas fundas de tela negra para proteger los brotes de la luz y ralentizar su desarrollo. Desde que me llegó no he dejado de producir mis brotes. Es facilisimo de usar. Hay que añadir agua y escurrir una o dos veces al día. Esto es muy importante para que no se produzca moho en los brotes. Los dos o tres primeros días los dejo fuera de la nevera para que broten las semillas y luego los meto en la nevera y sigo con el riego y escurrido diario. El crecimiento será más lento en la nevera pero así se siguen manteniendo frescos mucho tiempo. Recomiendo usar unas pinzas de cocina limpias para sacar los brotes del recipiente. Por higiene nunca sacarlos con los dedos. Me ha encantado este producto. Recomendado.
