Being in a straight leg brace with crutches following knee surgery, the normal toilet seat height was far too low, too painful to use. I was a little apprehensive about buying because some of the reviews mentioned taking off the original toilet seat, and I know how difficult that can sometimes be (and to refit securely). For me there was no need to remove, the original seat, it is just left up, and the raised seat fits straight on to the toilet itself. 1 minute to screw fit on. Very stable and the extra height of the 6” one over the many 4” ones advertised was just what I needed. By coincidence, the hospital had this make (or one of exactly the same design) on their toilet - got to be a good recommendation! Very good quality, safe and secure.

I was for a short while blown away with the ease of fitting this 6" toilet seat and how it it sat solidly in place. I'm tall 6' + and find it so eay to get up and down. If you are shorter than 6' I suugest you opt for the 3 or 4" toilet seat. A good buy and decent price.

Anyone who uses or cares for someone who struggles to get up from a normal toilet seat knows how much of a god send these raisers are. I bought this one as a spare for when Mum comes to ours (as she's in our covid-19 bubble to assist with her care). The seat is fairly solid, easy to attach and tighten to the toilet pan and once fitted does not move, easy to wipe down without lots of small crevices which can make sanitising some raisers difficult. All in all, this is perfect for what we need it to do, its well designed/moulded for comfort (and I would imagine for carers who may need to assist the user in some circumstances), was under £20 and arrived quickly in a sturdy box which I will keep for storing the seat in when mum isn't visiting. Definitely recommend.

Very well made and very sturdy. Easy to fit to existing toilet and easy to keep clean. Usually use dettol wipes...

After breaking my ankle in two places and being stuffed in plaster for 3 weeks waiting for an operation, back at home this was needed to aid getting on and off the toilet. It made the whole process so much easier as I was restricted to the tiny downstairs loo and with crutches or a Walker my hubby couldn’t also fit in there to help get on or off the loo. ( an added embarrassment). It’s a game changer and is still on the downstairs loo a year on as had added complications from ACL in the knee. It just stops the knee now having to over work raising you up. The secret to it lasting is DONT over tighten the screws that hold it on. It’s not moved once unless I’ve taken it off for cleaning etc. Don’t leave a person with anything broken WITHOUT one, it gives you some independence and aids in the getting on and off loo greatly. Someone should make a toilet this high, comfort height loos aren’t enough. I’m keeping this one on the loo permanently!!!

Just what I needed when I got my new knees. Easy to fit and take off for cleaning.

I bought this seat prior to a major foot surgery. I was non weight bearing for 6 weeks and using a walker. The height of the seat made it much easier for me to sit and stand while using only one foot. I am 5'9" and also have knee issues, so the height was perfect for me. Might be too tall for some, depending on height. It is also very secure. Doesn't wiggle around at all.

This is very helpful for my 85 year old mother in law. A bit bulky, but very easy to use.
