As far as I can can measure it is 6mm. Superficially the key looks the same as my original Chubb key but it does not fit. It does not engage properly on the bolt mechanism. I think the problem is that the grooves are shallower than on the Chubb key. If you have a Chubb/Yale bolt I recommend that you do not buy this.

It has 6, but it’s not very good. I’ve pushed mine in and it still sticks out a bit. It also doesn’t turn fully - almost like it’s too thick. As time has gone on it’s a bit better but I wish I’d spent a bit more and got a better one. I wouldn’t recommend this one unfortunately.

Would this fit the Yale locks?

No, a Yale lock needs a matching male key. As this Securit has a compatible female lock. Hope this helps
