This was recommended to me by a friend who created content and this is such a powerful light! I love how adjustable it is, the battery life is pretty decent, but if you want longer battery life, you have to get a bigger light lol. it’s portable and charge is in a reasonable amount of time. This is absolutely worth it.

So my girlfriend and I just started getting into videography for the paranormal world of investigation. We did hundreds of hours of research on lighting, microphones, camera rigs, video editing software, ect. When we came accross this item we were curious because the most powerful lights we could find were either plug in studio lights or 15w portable lights. We found more powerful "portable" lights but they require a whole gambit of equipment that we didn't want to lunk around and they were 2 and 3k$. I just got this product today and immediately tested it, its almost as powerful and bright as our gvm studio halo star light. The thing im most impressed with is the super sturdy and quality build of the unit, although its not meant for abuse, it feels super rugged in your hands and it has some empressive weight to it. The other thing were both super stoked with is its fast charging cycle and the fact that we can keep that thing on max brightness while still charging it via a high output battery bank (ours is 40,000 mah with 65w output) producing a much longer run time. I'm super impressed with this product and can't wait to start capturing spooky footage in our upcoming escapades. Thanks so much zhiyun, you got 2 customers for life

Absolutely wrecks the competition in terms of brightness and portability. It can output up to 40w of continuous lighting. We end up using it at 25% or less brightness because it is powerful enough to fill the studio. Pros: Simple and easy to use 2 knob system. 1 is 0-100% output, 2 is color temp Powerable by USB C. Huge plus for those not wanting to invest in professional lighting which requires complex setups and battery options. Safe yourself the trouble of using existing cables and pick up a 15ft USB C cable. That would be a cool bundle option. Compact for the wattage output. Many 60wat lights are 4-10 times the footprint Cons: Not really cons just small improvements The knobs don't have stops and are somewhat easy to slide out of position. On both (we bout 2 and will be getting 2 more) the color temp knob is easily nudged. Not a deal breaker by any means. But is something to be aware of. the built in stand blocks the charger from being used without being moved. Which is a pro and a con, In the normal position it covers the port protecting it. When plugged in and on a stand it does need to be adjusted.

Didn’t think I would like it because of how much it costs. But it surprised me how well this light is. Quality is excellent. The only complaint is how fast the battery goes out. Let’s just say it’s best used plugged in or bring a battery pack and dim to 50%.

Very Bright and sturdy BUT at 50-100% you ill be lucky to get 20 mins of battery life if they arent plugged in. No joke.

While I haven't had a chance to completely measure the output specs and compare to what's listed, I have done a few quick test shots, and the panel has so far been an impressive addition to my toolkit. While mounting options are a bit awkward given the shape and the end-attached mounting bracket, there are multiple attachment points that make it pretty easy to rig up. It is very light and unobtrusive, but probably a bit too much light to consider for direct camera mounting if you're going to be within about 10y/10m of your subject, as the light can be pretty dense even at lower output settings. I do not have any modifiers yet, so there's that as well. The battery seems to be ok so far, I'd estimate I'll maybe get just under an hour of full output. This is not at all a scientific guess though, as I haven't done nearly enough work with it to know how it performs in various, longer-term usage scenarios. It does charge quite quickly with USB-C PD, though, again, I've only had a chance to test this once so far. As mentioned above, the light can be quite intense, especially at full output levels. The quality of the light seems ok across the temperature spectrum based on a gut impression when viewed on calibrated, camera-mounted displays. Obviously the real test will come with a better project or more robust methodology, but so far I am pleased with the purchase and I think this is a great addition to a portable videography kit of any size.

Only few uses but seems very good. Colour control is staggered and abrupt changes on the control wheel but not a problem for my use.

The build quality of these units is very impressive. They feel heavy and solid, not fragile like some of the other cheaper options. They aren’t too heavy to carry around but I wouldn’t be concerned about them being broken if I just dropped them in my bag. Having physical controls is also really useful — there’s no messing around with menu screens, just one dial for brightness and one for colour temperature. The light they give off is nice and even, well dispersed, and impressively powerful — I used one light to work from in a power cut one night recently and got a good half hour of light on full brightness before the battery ran out (I don’t think it was fully charged, either). So these are really great for videography on the go and have become important parts of my live-streaming kit. It’s worth noting they aren’t full colour, they just do various shades of white, and don’t have the snazzy lighting effects you can find on other devices. But for the price and for the specific task of key or fill lighting, I don’t think you’ll find anything better.
