Worth it. But not perfect.
The main complaint on the product is that it isn’t taught when put in place. So it’s not like the bottom of a pack and play but a little bit more of a loose hammock. We used this on air Canada, and asiana airlines and it was the same both times. It’s not perfect. But it did what we needed it to. It stopped our nine month old from falling forward off of his seat. This meant we could set him down instead of holding him the entire 14 hour flight. It was also a far easier place for him to sleep than on our laps or crammed in a seat. He slept 9 hours of the flight and we were sooooo happy that he was able to do this. It’s also easier and more compact that inflatable options you see on Amazon. I’m happy we purchased it in the end, especially because i was very skeptical if it would work.

Doesn't stay put, useless
Neat idea, poor design. This product was clearly not tested on squirmy toddlers. TODDLERS DON'T SIT/LIE STILL! The two velcro straps that attach to the seat belt are not enough to hold this in place; the straps are also way too loose, so the seat extender just slides halfway forward on the seat, therefore sagging forward into the space between the seats. It also obviously only works if the seat belt is fastened and pulled completely tight (which is not relevant for most of the flight, or when the child is lying down to sleep), and even then, the fairly loose velcro straps would travel sideways along the seatbelt, and the item would bunch up and sag just the same. It would need more/better attachments to stay in place, but I can't think of a workaround with the current design. Maybe there are better versions of this type of product out there. My 2.5 year old did eventually fall asleep, but she was barely on it, as it bunched up and hung down like a useless hammock. I had to hold her head in my hands while she slept. So, useless.

Works well for smaller kids
This seat extender is durable and well made. The top fabric is thick canvas that wipes clean. The bottom has non-slip dots, to help keep this from sliding around the seat. The buckles and velcro straps are wide and sturdy. This installs pretty easily - the seatbelt on the child's seat goes through the velcro loops. The strap with the buckle goes around the tray table. It provides a moderately supportive surface for small kids to stretch their legs out, or for small toys. It won't hold a lot of weight, so this works best for babies or smaller kids. Folds up neatly into a flat package. Easy to take along.

A must have for kids
My kid slept 6 hour on the flight and not folded over. They were comfortable like having their own bed. It was easy to pack and store.

Good idea, but depends on airplane size
This product is practical and helpful for long flights with kids, but its effectiveness really depends on the airplane model and the space between seats. On some flights, it works perfectly and offers great comfort; on others, it can’t be fully extended. Still, it’s a smart solution if your airline allows it and there's enough room. — María Castillo | Psychologist & Mom
