No. There is no way to adjust the length

What size drill bit ?

Sense I was drilling into very hard tile I started with the smallest bit I could buy then went to the size rewired for the anchor. I went though several bits in the process. It probably cost me as much for bits as I paid for the grab bars. However in the end it was worth it. They look nice and the followup nurse and occupational therapist both were impressed and took pictures and information on where we purchase them.
