Biner SlideLock Locking Stainless Steel Carabiner (Black, #2)

Tiny, & too small for any practical use.

Size 2. Good SMALL carabiner, with a locking function. CHECK THE SIZE, as this is quite small. this 'newer' version has a 'locking feature'; in actuality this is just two tiny slide over pieces of plastic that slide down and prevent the carabiner from being un clipped accidentally; a useful feature, but tiny and fiddly and certainly cannot be used with gloves. Rated to 4.5kg (NOT for climbing) so well made. Double sided for clipping on AND carrying something else.

Brilliant. Its the locks on the springs that are clever and effective. Size difficult to gauge from the photos (should have looked at the tech spec) so got one slightly small (#2) and one (from another source) rather large (#4). Obviously I need a #3 to fit on my belt loop.

After ≈ two weeks of holding a water bottle to a bag (high use though well under the 10 lbs limit), the gates broke off. Before this, the gates did repeatedly lock on the wrong side of the bar which required fixing with brute force. I'd just get a normal carabiner.

I use this clip on my keys. The lock has keep the side with the keys secured whilst the other side easily clips onto my bag. The size is around the same as a smaller key

Very good for the price. Still not very strong though, I wouldn't trust it at my job as I do manual work. And its also a bit fiddly. I splashed out in the end and bought the bico key klipz, that's expensive but worth every penny

Value for money... small but resistant..... easy but safe locking mechanism

I have several S-Biner from Nite Ize and they are robust and with a wide span of usage. This S-Biner with slidelock fulfils my expectations completely.

These are very handy little carabiner clips. I initially purchased a set of two Size #1 S-Biners as part of several different items I wanted to try out along with several other products in my search for the most suitable combination of rings and clips to organize my keys, and I've since added a selection of these S-Biners for various uses. What I've learned is that Nite Ize produces these S-Biners in various sizes and materials and finishes, each suitable for certain purposes. They're all well made, and in my opinion they are all a good value. I particularly like the locking models that are also available (see the models at the bottom of the listing below). This locking style S-Biner is particularly useful since it reduces the chance that something attached using this clip will become accidentally released, which is something I've had happen when using the non-locking style slip. This particular locking S-Biner is available in two sizes, and I have the #2 which I feel is the most practical size for use on a keychain, for example, but it's also available in the #4 size which is much larger and could be used for carrying larger or heavier quantities of items. After going through a mini research project of my own in order to both determine the relevant dimensions of the various sizes, as well as find the best listings for them on Amazon, here is a guide to simplify this process for others.
