is it only a wall mount or can i use a monitor stand?

It's not only wall mount. You can use the monitor stand it comes with or one from a different company that is VESA compatible

Does this monitor have a built in speaker?

Yes it does. It has a rear facing speaker. The sound is decent quality but the volume has limits at the high end. It is fine for work at your desk, but not for playing music for a room.
