Practice makes perfect
I love this!! The set I bought came with a white, gray, and a wine (too dark for me now in the summer so I’m buying some individual colors on Amazon as time goes on). Takes a little practice to get the timing right. I’d say 5 minutes between every coat is safe. The top coat is very sticky and you only need a very thin layer. I bought an electric nail file on Amazon for $10 and it’s a game changer for filing the base coats down and for removal. I cleaned my kitchen without gloves yesterday and no change to my nails after day 3. I learned to not get too close to the cuticle…put the base liquid just a bit further from the skin. Practice makes perfect! It takes me about an hour for both hands after doing my 2nd set. One coat of color dip was slightly lighter than two coats but I could see through to my nail slightly with one coat. I recommend two coats of color dip.

Ruined my nails!
I just want anyone who buys us to know that this is just basically putting acrylics on your nails without the tips. It was a lengthy process, not super fast like it looks like in the ads. Also, you need extra brushes more than what even comes in the kit because the last two steps will make the brushes hard and useless. When I was done with these, did it look good? Yes, but my nails were hard like a turtle shell and so thick that I couldn’t even pick up a business card when I dropped it on the ground, or use my nails like normal to open anything. When I took these off my nails it destroyed them. It’s been a month now and I’ve been trying different products that are supposed to help repair nails, and my nails are still shorter than they’ve ever been in my entire life and peeling so I can’t even get them to grow back out . I would stay away from this product if I were you.

Easy Peasy
First, I am upset the step 2 Activator was more than half spilled because the lid was loose. You can see a yellow spot in my picture where it was leaking out into the tray. Thankfully, I had enough to try it.My first time use on my nails is pictured, but I used another color (pink lemonade/regular size jar pictured) in which, I had ordered instead of the “Date Night” red (small trial size) that came in the package/kit.I found it extremely easy to do. I dipped the color over my “glued-on nails” that I got on Amazon which were LED light cured (see last photo for brand I used) before using Nailboo. With Nailboo, I made some mistakes, such as, how I under estimated the wait time before filing after using the activator to harden the product. Also, I think I over-dipped the product a bit on the base step. I have a few nails that are pretty thick.I’m not upset about this part because I am a first time user. I’ll learn as I go.I can’t wait to remove and try again soon.If you are talented and know what you are doing, I think you would like the product in its regular sizes. This kit is small and probably half the size of what you may get in ordering normal/regular orders. If you are a first time user, then this small kit is the best way to see if you prefer to spend the time to do-it-yourself.Only Con- I wish they had a list of tips before using it or even a step-by-step brochure/video as you use the product. (I should have relied on YouTube videos now that I have discovered some good ideas.)Pros-Easy & saved $$$ and time! I can get better with experience and remove/change when I want without an appointment.

Requires a lot!
Let me preface by saying it does deliver a salon like hard nail feel and look. So, if you’re already a focused pro that paints like Michelangelo and has a well-lit room of peace to work in, this will work for you well. If you’re an ADD mom of 2 little boys that tries to hide in the floor of a poorly lit room to do your nails, it may be harder than you expect to not keep from messing them up. After too many top coats to fix imperfections, the drying time gets ridiculous. I failed, but maybe you won’t. I had them cracked and peeled within 24 hours. I didn’t even use polish remover and it didn’t peel my nail beds too badly.

User friendly!!
This stuff is amazing. I have tried gel polish and hard gel at home and always have the hardest time. This was quick and easy to do. I LOVE it. I have thin nails that can peel and polish NEVER stays on me. It became a waste of my time and money trying. I've gone over a decade with nothing on my nails because of this. I tried hard gel and couldn't get the hang of it. Enter Nailboo! I now have a cute look (not perfect, this is my first time doing it!) That has provided strength to my nail and hasn't scratched or chipped. It was so easy I even dipped my toes! It's ALL ABOUT THE NAIL PREP. If you have had Nailboo, or another nail product just pop off, it's likely because the nail was not prepped right.1. Push back and trim off cuticles2. Scruff the nail up a bit for better adhesion (I use a drill)3. Use rubbing alcohol, acetone, or nail dehydrator to remove oils from the nail4. In the buffing stage, make sure to take Nailboo down near the cuticles- it shouldn't be thick. The nail should slightly rise in thickness going towards the tip of the nail.5. If all else fails, watch a YouTube tutorial. Those helped prepare me for this process.Pros: quick drying (no smudging up the fresh look)Easy to useAffordableDoesn't chipAdds STENGTH to nailNo curingDries fast so you don't have to wait long between layers! I am so Impatient!Con: I can't think of any right now.
